    Ferrer opens against Matosevic World No. 5 David Ferrer is set to open his French Open campaign against Australia's Marinko Matosevic. The players will be contesting their first main-draw match on Sunday.

    Fourth seed David Ferrer enters the French Open with a 31-9 record, following a quarterfinal finish at the Masters 1000 Rome (lost to Nadal). The 31-year-old veteran will be making his 11th appearance at the French Open, where he finished among the final four last year.

    World No. 63 Marinko Matosevic is a modest 9-14 for the season. The 27-year-old Australian is back on court after losing a first-round match to Robin Haase in Nice. Matosevic is seeking his maiden main-draw victory at the French Open.

    Prediction: Ferrer in straight sets.
