    Berdych, Querrey battle in round of 16 Fourth seed Tomas Berdych will be looking to secure a quarterfinal berth with a victory over fellow seed Sam Querrey. The two are joined in fourth-round action by 7th seed Janko Tipsarevic, who takes on 11th seed Gilles Simon.

    (4) Tomas Berdych vs. (17) Sam Querrey

    World No. 6 Tomas Berdych holds a 4-1 series advantage over World No. 20 Sam Querrey. The players last met at the Masters 1000 Shanghai, where the Czech recorded a round of 16 win in three sets.

    Berdych is through to the fourth round after saving match points against Colombia's Alejandro Falla. The 27-year-old fought to secure the three-sets victory in two hours and 22 minutes, 2-6, 7-6(6), 6-4. He is seeking his fourth quarterfinal berth in Miami.

    Querrey passed into the round of 16 following the withdrawal of scheduled opponent Milos Raonic. The 17th seed will attempt to make his first quarterfinal at the Masters 1000 Miami.

    (7) Janko Tipsarevic vs. (11) Gilles Simon

    World No. 9 Janko Tipsarevic trails World No. 13 Gilles Simon 2-6 in the series. The two last played at the 2012 Valencia Open, where the Frenchman won a round of 32 match by retirement.

    Simon advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Grega Zemlja in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The 28-year-old Frenchman is bidding for his second quarterfinal berth at the event.

    Tipsarevic made the fourth round following his come-from-behind victory over South Africa's Kevin Anderson. The Serbian #2 dropped the opening set before rallying to 6-0 in the decider. Tipsarevic remains on track to reach his third quarterfinal in Miami.
