Berdych opens bid on Saturday Fourth seed Tomas Berdych will begin his run at the Masters 1000 Miami with a second-round match against Spain's Daniel Gimeno-Traver. The Czech is seeking his 19th victory of the season.

World No. 6 Tomas Berdych is back on court following a semifinal finish at the Masters 1000 Indian Wells. The 27-year-old won four consecutive matches before falling to eventual champion Rafael Nadal in straight sets, 4-6, 5-7.
