Djokovic opens title defense against Rosol World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is set to begin his Miami title defense against the Czech Republic's Lukas Rosol late Friday. The players are looking to secure a place in the third round of the tournament.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is back on court following a final four finish at the Masters 1000 Indian Wells. The top seed reached the semifinal before losing to World No. 7 Juan Martin Del Potro.

“There is a great energy about the city,” Djokovic said.

“I have been staying in Key Biscayne for the last few years, so most of my whereabouts are here on the island because of the tennis. It's very convenient, very close to the hotel, (has) beautiful weather. Obviously South Beach is a very special location in the city where you get to have a lot of great restaurants, places to see and to visit (and see) a lot of young people. (It’s) just a very alive city. It's interesting to always see and visit once in a while.”

Djokovic is seeking his 18th victory of the season.

World No. 64 Lukas Rosol recorded an opening-round win over veteran Gilles Muller, 7-5, 6-4. The 27-year-old Czech looks to secure his 7th Tour-level victory of the year.

    Prediction: Djokovic in straight sets.
