• Harrison and Blake kick off Miami Masters

    3/20/13 3:14 AM | Cheryl Murray
Harrison and Blake kick off Miami Masters Young gun Ryan Harrison will take on tour veteran and wildcard James Blake in Wednesday's marquee evening match.

This could be a good opportunity for 33 year-old James Blake to move into the second round of a Masters event.

Blake, who is ranked No. 95 in the world, already owns a 2-0 record over Harrison. The last time the two men met was in 2012 on the hard courts of Atlanta.

The surface may actually favor Blake. Harrison, who is ranked higher at 88, has struggled of late, showing an unwillingness to play the kind of aggressive tennis required for hard court success.

Even though they are both Americans, the crowd will surely get behind Blake, who will be the nostalgic choice.

If the veteran can manage his unforced errors and play high-percentage tennis, he should get through this one and move into round 2.
