• Murray battles Lu in third round

Murray battles Lu in third round World No. 3 Andy Murray looks to reach the fourth round at the BNP Paribas Open, as he takes the court against Chinese Taipei's Yen-Hsun Lu. The players are set to contest their second meeting late Wednesday.

Third seed Andy Murray trails world No. 79 Yen-Hsun Lu 1-0 in the series, having lost their only previous meeting at the 2008 Olympics.

Murray is back on court after surviving a tricky opening round against Russia's Evgeny Donskoy. The 25-year-old Scot dropped the first set, but quickly recovered to seal the win in three, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.

"I wasn't so concerned with the whole of the first set or the start of the match," Murray said in an interview with Sky Sports.

"I went 5-1 down and after that I played pretty well. I had four or five break points at 5-5, didn't quite get them and he came out with some big shots. And the game where I got broken at 6-5, I maybe played one bad point. But he did come up with some big shots and big forehand winners so I was happy with the way I played after that, I created a lot of chances.

"I haven't played a lot of matches, so I didn't take the points as soon as I would have liked but I hit the ball well at the end of the match. I hope I play better at each match. I haven't played well here the last few years and I just need to get matches under my belt."

Murray is seeking his first round of 16 at the BNP Paribas Open since 2010.

Lu is through to the third round by virtue of his straight-set dismissal of 26th seed Martin Klizan. The 29-year-old veteran will be looking to reach his first round of 16 in Indian Wells.

    Prediction: Murray in straight sets.

The score doesn't suggest a "battle" it suggests a minor skirmish.

so Murray will face a "tough" opponent in the in the world did Berlocq reach the qtrs?! At least Murray fans have nothing to worry about...:)

sorry, my mistake, fourth round that is, not the qtrs...but still...Berlocq on HCs?!...amazing...

With a possible last 3 rounds of delpo, nole and roger/rafa, if anyone deserves a slightly easier R16 match it's muzz. The only possible titleist who has it worse is delpo, but he's not a serious contender.
