• Gasquet and Baghdatis fight for Rotterdam quarters

Gasquet and Baghdatis fight for Rotterdam quarters Red-hot Frenchman Richard Gasquet will look to extend his 2013 record to 16-1 as he takes on Marcos Baghdatis in the second round.

Marcos Baghdatis has proven to be a difficult matchup for world No. 10 Richard Gasquet. The two men have met twice before; Baghdatis won both of their encounters in straight sets, including a meeting on the lawns of the All-England Club at the London Olympics.

The good news for the Gasquet camp is that the Frenchman is playing his best tennis in years. He has two titles in 2013 already and he holds a 15-1 record, with his only loss coming to countryman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Australian Open.

Baghdatis has had varied results this year. He began in great form, with a semifinal showing in Brisbane, but he lost in the third round at the Australian Open and the second round in Zagreb last week.

Prediction - Gasquet has played a lot of tennis recently and could be fighting fatigue, but he's playing well enough that he could be ripe for his first-ever win over Baghdatis.
