    Murray continues Tokyo title defense against Lacko World No. 3 Andy Murray is set to headline second-round play at the Japan Open, as he takes on Slovakia's Lukas Lacko. The players are seeking a spot in the quarterfinal on Wednesday.

    Defending champion Andy Murray holds a 1-0 series lead over world No. 65 Lukas Lacko, having won their only previous meeting at the 2010 US Open.

    Murray began the Japan Open with a straight-set victory over Croatia's Ivo Karlovic. The 25-year-old withstood 18 aces en route to a 7-6(7), 6-4 success. The Scot is seeking his 11th quarterfinal berth of the season.

    Lacko dismissed Spain's Albert Ramos in the opening round, 6-0, 6-2. The 24-year-old will attempt to reach his first tour-level quarterfinal since February, when he finished runner-up in Zagreb.

    Prediction: Murray in straight sets.
