Djokovic, Tipsarevic battle in Rogers Cup semi World No. 2 Novak Djokovic looks to reach the final match at the Masters 1000 Canada as he squares off against countryman Janko Tipsarevic. The players are scheduled to contest their seventh career meeting on Saturday.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic leads fellow Serbian Janko Tiparevic 4-2 in the series. The two have split a pair of meetings in 2012, which includes a straight-set, hard-court victory for the top seed in Dubai.

Djokovic won back-to-back matches on Friday, ousting third-round opponent Sam Querrey in straight sets and quarterfinal challenger Tommy Haas in three. The 25-year-old remains on course to make his sixth ATP World Tour final of the season.

Tipsarevic is through to the final four after upending 10th seed Marin Cilic in the round of 16 and Marcel Granollers in the quarterfinals. The 28-year-old is seeking his first hard-court championship final since January, when he finished runner-up to Milos Raonic in Chennai.

    Prediction: Djokovic in three sets.

no, still not #1 ;). Although, it would be great to see him back there, I'd rather have him be healthy and injury free.

we'll see. On paper, he's the favorite but Richard is such a talented and diverse player. It won't be an easy match for either of them.

Nole up a set and a break.
