Federer opens Olympic bid against Falla World No. 1 Roger Federer will begin his quest for a gold medal, as he takes the court against Colombia's Alejandro Falla. The players are set to contest their sixth career meeting Saturday afternoon.

Top seed Roger Federer holds a 5-0 series advantage over world No. 51 Alejandro Falla. Saturday signals their fourth meeting on grass.

Federer has compiled a 46-6 season record, aided by his run to the title at Wimbledon. The 30-year-old Swiss failed to medal at the 2008 Olympic Games, having fallen to American James Blake in the quarterfinals.

Falla returns to action after reaching the third round at Wimbledon. The 28-year-old is bidding for his 10th tour-level victory in 2012.

    Prediction: Federer in straight sets.
