• Paire and Seppi fight for Belgrade crown

    5/6/12 3:33 AM | Cheryl Murray
Paire and Seppi fight for Belgrade crown Tournament No. 2 seed Andreas Seppi and surprise finalist Benoit Paire will do battle to take the Serbian Open trophy.

Frenchman Benoit Paire has already racked up four upset wins in Belgrade this week. Paire defeated No. 6 seed Fabio Fognini in the first round, No. 3 seed Jarkko Nieminen in the quarters and top seed Pablo Andujar in the semifinals.

Andreas Seppi’s tournament hasn’t been quite as impressive as Paire’s, but he had a fantastic win over David Nalbandian in the semifinals.

With both men in good form going into Sunday, this could be a good battle for the fans, who are surely otherwise disappointed not to have hometown hero Novak Djokovic in the final.

While Paire has been a roll, Seppi has more experience in big matches. The Italian in 3.
