Djokovic opens Monte-Carlo bid against Seppi World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is set to begin his quest for a maiden Monte-Carlo title, as he squares off against Italy’s Andreas Seppi. The players will be contesting their seventh career meeting on Wednesday.

Djokovic returns to competition after winning his second title of the season in Miami. The 24-year-old will be making his appearance at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, where he garnered his best results in 2009 (finalist).

He is bidding for his 21st victory of the season.

Seppi defeated veteran qualifier Victor Hanescu in the opening round, 6-3, 6-1. The 28-year-old looks to win consecutive matches for the first time since Rotterdam.

    Prediction: Djokovic in straight sets.

No way anyone will touch djokovic on this form. Sorry to say it but nadal doesn't stand a chance. Monte carlo is playing like a hard court

thats a funny post, nothing more. what so special did djokovic did today?
even his fans would agree it was an average match according to his standards , just doing enough to make a positive winning start!

** do today

next up is dolgopolov, i think its going to be a tough match . Dolgo can badly disrupt nole's rhythm, he is a sort of player nole is not comfortable dealing with.

I thought Nole's performance was just average, while Seppi was quite bad. Too soon to tell what his form is, I think.
