• Raonic leads surprising Memphis semifinal lineup

    2/25/12 3:44 PM | Ricky Dimon
Raonic leads surprising Memphis semifinal lineup Milos Raonic will go up against Benjamin Becker in the Memphis semifinals on Saturday. The winner will battle either Jurgen Melzer or Radek Stepanek for the title.

Milos Raonic will look to continue his unblemished trek through the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships when he takes the court for semifinal action on Saturday afternoon.

The 35th-ranked Canadian, the runner-up last year in Memphis, has not dropped a set in victories over Ernests Gulbis, Sergiy Stakhovsky, and Olivier Rochus. Raonic, coming off a title in San Jose just as he did in 2011, is an awesome 14-1 for the season.

Up next for the No. 4 seed is a first-ever matchup with Becker. The 284th-ranked German was plagued by injuries last year, but he is back in form with wins this week over Dudi Sela, Xavier Malisse, and Lukasz Kubot. Becker also has not lost a single set.

The underdog should be able to make this competitive if his big serve is working, but Raonic in straight sets is the obvious choice.
