    (4) Juan Martin Del Potro vs. Nikolay Davydenko

World No. 10 Juan Martin Del Potro trails former world No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko 3-1 in the head-to-head series. Thursday signals their first meeting since 2009.

Del Potro enters into his maiden Open 13 with a 9-3 record following a runner-up finish at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. The 23-year-old Argentine reached his first final of the season, where he fell to former champion Roger Federer.

Davydenko made the second round by virtue of his straight-set ousting of Germany’s Andreas Beck. The 30-year-old Russian is bidding for his sixth victory of the season.

    (2) Mardy Fish vs. (Q) Albano Olivetti

Second seed Mardy Fish makes his return to competition after successful Davis Cup effort against Switzerland. The American veteran will be making his Open 13 debut late Thursday.

Qualifier Albano Olivetti defeated Matthias Bachinger of Germany in the opening round, 6-4, 6-3. The 20-year-old Frenchman looks to reach his first tour-level quarterfinal.

So Albano Olivetti hit 23 aces to beat Mardy Fish ... who probably didn't play his best game. Looks like we've got another big server .. he is 6'7.5 ".
