Benneteau, Harrison looking for San Jose quarters Promising American talent Ryan Harrison will take on compatriot Robby Ginepri for a spot in the SAP Open quarterfinals.

    Ryan Harrison vs. Robby Ginepri

Ryan Harrison is 10 years Robby Ginepri’s junior at age 19. He is also ranked inside top 100 (94th) while Ginepri sits at No. 235. The American teen is on the brink of breaking through, but he’s had an unimpressive start to the year, with just three wins so far in five tournaments played (including Davis Cup).

Ginepri had a good win over Xavier Malisse in the first round, but Harrison will be motivated to get his season started on a more successful note. Harrison in straight sets.

    Julien Benneteau vs. Gilles Muller

Frenchman Julien Benneteau will have a tough task taking on the big server from Luxembourg, Gilles Muller. The two men have played twice before, but their most recent encounter came back in 2005. They split the wins at one each.

Benneteau had a surprising run to the finals in Sydney and he had a solid third-round showing at the Australian Open.

Muller has had a horrendous start to the season, with his first-round win over Tim Smyczyk just his second for the season. Muller’s serve will always make him dangerous, but Benneteau should get through this one.
