Top seed Juan Monaco looks to reach the final four in Chile, as he faces off against fellow seed Albert Montanes late Friday. Jeremy Chardy and Frederico Gil are also in quarterfinal action, set to contest their fifth career meeting.

World No. 29 Juan Monaco trails quarterfinal opponent Albert Montanes 2-0 in the series, having lost both matches on clay. Friday marks their first meeting since 2009.
Monaco won his opening match against Igor Andreev in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. The 27-year-old is bidding for his third semifinal berth at the tournament.
Montanes recorded a straight-set victory over qualifier Rogerio Dutra Silva in the round of 16, 7-5, 6-2. The veteran will attempt to make the semi for the first time since 2007.
Jeremy Chardy vs. Frederico Gil
Jeremy Chardy holds a 3-1 series advantage over Frederico Gil heading into the quarterfinals. The players are level at 1-1 for clay-court matches contested.
Chardy came through the round of 16 with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Argentina’s Leonardo Mayer. The Frenchman looks to reach his first tour-level semi since 2011, when he made the final four in St. Petersburg.
Gil defeated fourth seed Pablo Andujar in round two, 6-2, 6-1. The 26-year-old is bidding for his first tour-level semifinal since 2010.
