World No. 49 Julien Benneteau looks to win his first ATP World Tour title, as he takes to the court against World No. 77 Jarkko Nieminen. The players are slated to contest their fifth meeting on Saturday.
Qualifier Jarkko Nieminen holds a 4-0 series advantage over finals opponent Julien Benneteau. The two last met at the 2011 Masters 1000 Monte Carlo, where the Finn rallied to win a first-round match in three sets.
Saturday signals their fourth hard-court contest.
Benneteau advanced to the final by virtue of his straight-set ousting of Marcos Baghdatis. The 30-year-old Frenchman is bidding for his first ATP World Tour title.
Nieminen defeated fellow qualifier Denis Istomin in the semifinals, 7-6(12), 6-3. He remains on course to take home his second tour-level title.
Prediction: Nieminen in three sets.
