Baghdatis made the final four by virtue of his 7-6(7), 6-4 ousting of top seed Juan Martin Del Potro. The 26-year-old Cypriot is bidding for his 12th ATP World Tour final on Friday.
Benneteau defeated Alex Bogomolov Jr. in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-4. The Frenchman looks to reach his sixth ATP World Tour championship final.

World No. 77 Jarkko Nieminen holds a 2-0 series edge against World No. 67 Denis Istomin. Friday signals their third straight hard-court meeting.
Istomin advanced to the semifinal after beating third seed Richard Gasquet. The 25-year-old remains on track to reach his first final since 2010.
Nieminen dismissed fellow qualifier Bobby Reynolds in the quarterfinal. The veteran is bidding for his 12th berth in an ATP World Tour final.
