Fifth seed Viktor Troicki will begin his run at the Apia International Sydney on Tuesday, as he takes to the court against former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt. Fellow seed Radek Stepanek is set to meet Xavier Malisse.

World No. 21 Viktor Troicki returns to competition after reaching the quarterfinal in Doha. The 25-year-old captured consecutive matches before losing to Gael Monfils 6-2, 6-3. Troicki will be defending runner-up points in Sydney this week (lost to Simon).
Former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt is set to begin his 2012 season with an 11th appearance in Sydney. He is four times a title winner, having taken home the top prize in 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2005.
(8) Radek Stepanek vs. Xavier Malisse
Eighth seed Radek Stepanek holds a narrow 4-3 series advantage over fellow veteran Xavier Malisse. The players are meeting for the first time since 2010.
Stepanek made the quarterfinal in Brisbane before losing to Alexandr Dolgopolov in three sets. The 33-year-old veteran is bidding for his first win in Sydney since 2008.
World No. 63 Malisse looks to regroup after suffering a first-round loss to David Goffin in Chennai. The 31-year-old will attempt to record his first Sydney victory since 2002.
