  • Federer, Ferrer square off in London semifinals

    11/26/11 2:04 AM | Ricky Dimon
Federer, Ferrer square off in London semifinals Roger Federer looks to continue his stellar season-ending run on Saturday in the London semifinals. Standing in his way of the title match is David Ferrer.

Will the 12th time be the charm for David Ferrer?

Ferrer is 0-11 lifetime against Roger Federer heading into Saturday's first semifinal at the World Tour Finals. In the overall head-to-head series, Federer is 6-0 on hard courts, 4-0 on clay, and 1-0 on indoor carpet.

Somewhat surprisingly, they have not yet faced each other this season. Their last meeting came at the 2010 World Tour Finals, where Federer dominated a round-robin match 6-1, 6-4.

Ferrer could have avoided a semifinal clash against Federer but he lost control of Group A by giving away a set and a break lead over Tomas Berdych. The fifth-ranked Spaniard had previously erased both Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

With Ferrer's setback, Federer is the only player through to the semifinals with a perfect record in London. The fourth-ranked Swiss cruised past Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Rafael Nadal in straight sets before taking care of Mardy Fish in three sets on Thursday.

A clear edge in this one goes to Federer, and not just because of his past history against Ferrer. The defending champion was absolutely awesome against Nadal and he had a day off on Friday while Ferrer battled Berdych for more than two hours.

Look for Federer too book a spot in the title match after two entertaining sets.

the FED is on FIRE! I love the FED. He is an enigmatic fellow. His plays can be both surprising and mysterious. No one plays tennis quite like the FED. Wishing him GREAT success for the rest of this tournament, and all the GREATEST success in the new year... Go FED! Go ROGER! Keep it going Champ! :)

sky , 11/26/11 2:40 AM

It all aligning perfectly for Fed..Cant get any more in a better place to take this..Ofcourse hes playing fine but hes also getting blessed with all the intangibles going in his favour big time

Ferrer played night match against Berdych..intense 3 setter..he plays Fed in the day..no time for recovery

Berdych-Tsonga will play at night and we know how intense that will be..The winner will be too gassed out to offer anything to Fed on Sunday day time again because of no recovery time

sanju , 11/26/11 7:53 AM

"Berdych-Tsonga will play at night and we know how intense that will be..The winner will be too gassed out to offer anything to Fed on Sunday day time again because of no recovery time"

You know how intense it will be? Can you tell me who'll win so I can put some money on it. Also Roger doesn't need any "extra" help as you suggest it'll happen.

Federer in 2, if Roger plays at normal level. If he goes walkabout in the 2nd set then in 3.
The outcome will be Roger as the winner.

sanju, Do you really believe ferrer is going to be easier than djokovic?
djokovic lost to ferrer, lost to tipsarevic, faced MP against berdych. Djokovic would rake a beatdown a la nadal. I'm sure the djokovic fans are more than happy that he didn't get to play Roger.

bleck , 11/26/11 9:24 AM

Bleck honestly I think ferrer is easier than Djoko..even though Djoko would also have lost to Fed at the form n state Djoko is in now.

Ferrer has lost 11 times to Fed :-), never recorded a win , hes a slogger on court but since this is indoors and it plays fast..I dont think hell get enough time to slug it out

Dont get me wrong..I am not saying Fed needs intangibles to work in his favour..all I am saying they are all aligning it beautifully in his favour and will make it easier for him to win had they not worked in his favour

sanju , 11/26/11 9:44 AM

No one plays tennis quite like the FED.

sky , 11/26/11 2:40 AM

At lease you got one thing right. No one is quite as BORING as Federer.

nadline , 11/26/11 10:03 AM

Djoko in his present form would have had no chance against Fed. He hasn't looked good since after the USO. That's why he didn't make it to the semis.

The issue with Ferrer is that he has never beaten Fed. That can get in your mind and you can go out there and be defeated before the match starts. That is a big advantage for Fed. Until Ferrer's match with Berdy, I thought he was playing very well. He let that match get away from him, being up a set and a break. He has already played and beaten Murray and Djoko. I don't think either of them were at their best, but it is still an accomplishment for a player who didn't seem to stand a chance to go that far. Fed on this surface will be hard for Ferrer.

I don't know that Berdy and Tsonga will kill each other. They are both big servers who can get cheap points off their serves. I don't know if there will be a lot of long rallies with these guys. Both of them have been playing well and there is no reason to think that either of them would lay down if they met Fed in the finals.

Nativenewyorker , 11/26/11 10:17 AM

Now Djokovic is weighing in on the arduous schedule complaning of mental and physical fatigue.

Thw WTF favours players who did not get very far in tournaments throughout the year or had matches handed to them on a plate - step in Roger Federer.

So now Federer lies in wai for the top players to ware themselves out, then steps up and wins the WTF.

nadline , 11/26/11 10:19 AM

nadline, I totally get you. I too prefer 20+ shot rallies that ooften end in UE. It's just so much fun. Not to say that Roger never produces shots never seen before and he's certainly not the most talented player as of now.

P.S.: If you want some links to youtube videos of some truly out of this world, spectacular, beatiful and certainly not boring shots by Roger I can give them to you. Just ask.
If you like shots between the legs and around the post there are a lot of them.

bleck , 11/26/11 10:21 AM

Also have you ever seen a smash lob? And a smash passing shot?

Sienna, The bitterness is pouring out. Nadline just couldn't hold it in anymore. lol

bleck , 11/26/11 10:23 AM

bleck absolutely. Fed doesnot only look great as a player his selfconfidence is higher then it has been for years. He's calm collected doesnot pannick when players win a set. He just concentrates and get the job done. The RafaRoast has made him turn a corner. The players in this tournement only Tsonga has a slight outside chance.
I feel fed is back on his dominating level. He will not take his footh of the pedal like last yearwhere he decided not to implement his major trainings block of december.
He thought he could beat Rafa withoutand hadnot counted on Djoker and Murray tobe that good. This year is a special year gold at wimbly after a singles wimbledon well history in the making. He is now laying the foundation for the 2012.Where others are treating their wounds and Rafa even has all but announced his retirement Fed will up the stakes by pushing forwards.
30 years and he will make history starting this weekend, but when that fail no worries hewill just push on with a relentless attitude. Just compair his state of mind with Djokivic's or Nadal's? Mindblowing.

Sienna , 11/26/11 10:28 AM

well federer won wtf in 04 06 and 07 as well the years he won 3 slams each so djokovic cannot complain

isfand , 11/26/11 12:49 PM

Thw WTF favours players who did not get very far in tournaments throughout the year or had matches handed to them on a plate - step in Roger Federer.

nadine

The above is MINDLESS babble nadine. How can a tournament which consists of the best 8 players in tennis "favour players who did not get very far in tournaments throughout the year..." also when the FED won this tournament as the #1 player in tennis before?! Just not clear thinking or rational or true.

The FED SHINES because he is the BEST of the BEST (even if you don't accept this, there are millions of people who think and feel contrary to you. Roger Federer has broken many (if not most) of the records in tennis history, and his style is "loved" by many probably most people (certainly from the point of view of fans he has the most). People have their favourites, but to say these things about Roger Federer in the face of all that he has accomplished and continues to accomplish is truly surprising. You must be feeling very bitter to be writing such a thing about one of tennis GREAT all time players, and for many just the very best ever, the GOAT. He has proven time, after time, after time his tennis talents, and has made many people happy with his tennis magic... He is "so" talented/"so" GREAT that even at 30 he's genius and talents are "still" shining through. If you find his tennis playing boring I hope for your sake you keep away/don't watch when he is playing that might cure your boredom. LOL Too bad for you Nadine. I'm sorry to say you sound like a bitter woman (an obvious none FEDfan) who is beside herself.

sky , 11/26/11 1:02 PM

Mindless babble???

How many finals has Federer made this year? The others are tired so it's easy for him.

nadline , 11/26/11 1:12 PM

sky, why don't you use the same arguments to admonish those who put Rafa down despite all he's achieved. It's funny how Fedfans can dish it out but can't take it.

nadline , 11/26/11 1:15 PM

nadline your halarious! I should know better than respond to you. I hope you are having fun. :) Tennis is great isn't' it?! :) LOL

sky , 11/26/11 1:29 PM

ops hilarious LOL Roger is doing very well at the moment. It's just nice to live the moment and enjoy it to the MAX! What happened before, and what will happen tomorrow, and the day after that, well it's still a mystery isn't it? Cheers. :)

sky , 11/26/11 1:42 PM

No. of match played before WTF

Rafa - 79
Djokovic - 73
Roger - 71

Not much difference if you consider that roger is 5 years older.

in 2006 he played 97 matches in season!!!

so nadline don't know what are you trying to convey.

mani4Tennis , 11/26/11 2:42 PM

^^^If you think 8 matches is nothing then you are not facing the facts.

nadline , 11/26/11 2:54 PM

Now do the same analysis for NUMBER OF FINALS PLAYED by each, and when.........thank you

rafaisthebest , 11/26/11 2:55 PM

Vamos David & good luck. I hope against all the odds that you will beat Fed today and congrats for the great year that you have had.

schatz , 11/26/11 3:05 PM

RIFB ..

i hope you have that numbers with you!!

but is a final count as 2 matches??

I'm hoping he loses and high-tails it to Sevilla subito!!!!!

Allez Rog!!

rafaisthebest , 11/26/11 3:13 PM

prediction guys ?

Roger in straights or Roger in 3?

sanju , 11/26/11 3:20 PM

The WTF format is flawed.

They should just give Federer the WTF title along with most popular player, the sportsmanship award and best golfer never to play golf.

nadline , 11/26/11 3:21 PM

Why flawed nadline?

sanju , 11/26/11 3:24 PM

It would hard to keep up with this match on the radio not knowing whether the umpire is saying Federer or Ferrer.

nadline , 11/26/11 3:24 PM

what a get by Roger to the high lob..nice

sanju , 11/26/11 3:27 PM

RITB - I know where you are coming from - it is a bit of a doubled-edged sword.

By the way TSO sums our Rafa up nicely.

schatz , 11/26/11 3:27 PM

God Ferrer double faulting like no ones business..3 double faults already till 3rd game

sanju , 11/26/11 3:29 PM

sanju, because any of the 8 players who start off in the RR can be substituted in the middle of the tournament and the sub can end up winning the whole thing without playing all the rubbers. Plus the fact that Rafa and Djoko won exactly the same number of matches and Rafa's game difference was -9 whilst Djoko's was -10, yet Djoko could have been in the SF if Berdy had lost to Ferrer and Djoko could even have gone all the way to win the title, whilst Rafa would not have been able to do the same.

nadline , 11/26/11 3:31 PM

unlucky call for Fed..should have challenged..it was on the line

sanju , 11/26/11 3:32 PM

yes nadline that is true..its all luck and mathematical calculations ..

But didnt understand statement that they should just hand over title to Roger? Why so? I mean hes earning the right to win the title by playing hs matches isnt he?

sanju , 11/26/11 3:37 PM

Roger and Ferrer both hitting some wierd angles..Ferrer from his forehand and Fed from his backhand..stretching the other person wide out to even touch the ball..good quality match till now

sanju , 11/26/11 3:40 PM

sanju, I'm just being disingenuous. Of course Roger will deserve the title if he wins it. I'm just annoyed about all the Rafa put downs.

nadline , 11/26/11 3:40 PM

Its' not flawed, but it does depend on which group one ends up in. With Murray's retirement, Nadal ended up in the tougher group than Djokovic. But all he had to do was win 2 of 3 matches and he just came up a bit short...

What IS flawed is that the players in Ferrer's group don't get as much rest as the people in the first group. Especially in Ferrer's case, he's out there with less than 24 hours of rest.

Bharata , 11/26/11 3:41 PM

decent quality at best so far

RickyDimon , 11/26/11 3:42 PM

Ricky..its patchy but decent

Lot of errors from both..less winners..but its close..no much difference

Bharata: I agree on the rest period..I commented morning too..Its an intangible that will work in Feds favour in both semi and final big time..

sanju , 11/26/11 3:47 PM

Bharata, so you think that if 2 players win the same number of matches it's OK for the player who lost more games than the other to still have a chance to go for the title? Or for a player who hasn't played all the rubbers to still be in a position to win the title?

nadline , 11/26/11 3:48 PM

What IS flawed is that the players in Ferrer's group don't get as much rest as the people in the first group. Especially in Ferrer's case, he's out there with less than 24 hours of rest.

Bharata , 11/26/11 3:41 PM

What else is new? Federer's half ALWAYS gets more rest, ALWAYS.

nadline , 11/26/11 3:59 PM

Yes - to the first point, no to the 2nd. So for the second point, I think it would be fair if Tipsarevic had 'inherited' Murray's record, but I guess there are other reasons for this.
For the first point, I guess to me the two groups are distinct, and your record just depends on how you do within your group. After all who cares how many games you win? Losing 7-6 7-6 or losing 6-0 6-0 is the same, it's still a loss, although morally of course it's a lot tougher to take.
This is how most team sports are played, but they have long seasons, so this situation tends to balance out (like 80 games in hockey or 162 in baseball or whatever). But yes in a week long tournament is does lead to weird things like Djokovic making it with 2 losses.

Bharata , 11/26/11 4:03 PM

Right on! Roger! Roger! Roger! :) Go! Go! Go! Champ.

sky , 11/26/11 4:05 PM

Set Federer with a cold.
Well he feels a litle under the weather but he should be ok.

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:05 PM

1st set Fed 7-5..sneaked it out in the end..well thats what experience n being there done it does

sanju , 11/26/11 4:05 PM

I am not being mean, this is a genuine question...................can someone explain to me why Fed appears to have a beer gut? Surely all that tennis should chisel it out, no?

rafaisthebest , 11/26/11 4:06 PM

- What else is new? Federer's half ALWAYS gets more rest, ALWAYS.

Yes, it seems Federer often plays on the opening day of the tournament in Grand Slams and this years' Finals. In the Master 1000s of course he has no rest like anyone else between days. This might be due to the fact he's so popular organizers want him to be on the opening day.

Bharata , 11/26/11 4:07 PM

beer gut? RITB..you mean beer belly? or puffed face?

sanju , 11/26/11 4:09 PM

C'MON!

sky , 11/26/11 4:10 PM

ok the match is over..Fed broke in 2nd..hell run awaywith match now

Ferrer..get sum big match play..his record against Top 10 is anyways very poor

sanju , 11/26/11 4:11 PM

In the mean time Fed is a break up and showing signs of wanting to get the job done in a hurry... nice 2*0

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:12 PM

Bharata, the game difference does matter, just look at the Group Standings.

Tipsa did inherit Murray's points which were nil, but would he have inherited Ferrer's or Federer's points had they pulled out?

Never mind, I'm just crying over split milk.

nadline , 11/26/11 4:18 PM

the outcome of this match anyways was a foregone conclusion..it just remained to be seen if Fed would take it in straights or 3..it looks to be straights now

sanju , 11/26/11 4:19 PM

Federer has always had a beer belly that's why he won't make the billboards in Armani underwear like TSO.

nadline , 11/26/11 4:20 PM

maybe we should youtube Fed on the beach to see if he indeed has a beer belly

sanju , 11/26/11 4:25 PM

^^^sanju, he does. He's got no six pack like TSO.

nadline , 11/26/11 4:27 PM

Yes Nadaline I say no one touches Nadal 's body. But last match it was very noticible there was almost a 1 inch split in the hairline of Rafa.
Yesterday all his troubles seemed so far away know looks like they are here stay OH He believes in yesterday. Suddenly he's not half the man he used to be. There is a shadow hanging over him o yesterday cam suddenly.....

Get your groove on gir.l

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:29 PM

Looks like the most unexpected of all..Mardy Fish gave Fed the toughest challenge and kept him on court the longest..1 hr 50 mns

sanju , 11/26/11 4:29 PM

Here you are sanju:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vozK4vUBY8s

If you twist my arm, I will post links of TSO on the beach.

nadline , 11/26/11 4:31 PM

All these spaniards play so far behind the baseline..on fast courts thats a killer

sanju , 11/26/11 4:39 PM

It was a close match.

nadline , 11/26/11 4:40 PM

Nadline = Is one of the Nadal fanatics, and things happening with him can only be related to this "Grapes are sour"; Had the same success been tasted by Nadal in WTF, then he would have said completely different things. He is very sure now that Nadal is never going to make big in that stage, which is why he is even going on abusing the tournament format and all. I wonder how the other members of this website takes those mindless ramblings without any protest?

Anyway, Federer is at the moment playing some spectacular tennis and in this form, he is sure to demolish any man on any surface for sure!

Congrats Federer for winning the Semi Finals in straight sets. Best of luck Federer for winning another WTF tournament win!!!

solitudine , 11/26/11 4:40 PM

Good game FED! C'MON!

sky , 11/26/11 4:40 PM

Congrats Fed!!! for reaching the final and also taking the world No 3 ranking back ..

Also on reaching 100th ATP tour final..70th title on Sunday..great stuff

sanju , 11/26/11 4:41 PM

Are we going to now continue seeing Fed and Djoko on one sde of the draw and Murray-Rafa on other next year given that Fed is back to No 3 :-)

sanju , 11/26/11 4:43 PM

heh heh heh close match LOL Nadaline.

Heh heh ATP #3 is upon us!
Fed just ripped the lifetime dream of Andy Murray out of his hands.

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:43 PM

solitudine..on any surface? cant say yet because he played superbly end of last year too but didnt translate that later on outdoor hard/clay/grass all year....Indoor hard is his strongest..Hes won like 18 titles on it.. Let the other surfaces be played on first..come Jan you'll have the outdoor hard courts and come April the clay courts and come June grass....

sanju , 11/26/11 4:46 PM

solitudine
There is just no possible normal converstaion with that woman. She used to be called Carry as a postersname. But she made a second )or third) Id and from then on she tried to double team othersin getting support for her crazy idea's. That is untill someone caught her out in her web of deceit.

Glad you have noticed the great shape Fed is in. He is a tiptop fysical shape and mental he is as hungry as he has ever been. He is not letting go of his major trainingsblock in december. That one always gives him a great result. With the other elite a litle or in big fysical trouble Fed looks great to get 2012 of with a slambang/ I would say he is in great shape to set up a TMF year.

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:55 PM

Sanju nice of you to notice that Fed played great last year. but he did not implement his major trainingsblock in december he skipped and had a smaller one and took a larger one in Februari. Things are different now. He is mentally not drained like last year and he is fysically not in any problem after his rest of 6 weeks.Thattime cannot be won before 2012/ If they want to have a chance then they need to rest (the others) in order to give their bodys and minds some chance to recover.

Sienna , 11/26/11 4:59 PM

yes but can anyone explain me what major training blocks for 2 weeks in Dec will do for a full season of 2012 ?

what training do they do? learn new shots? because for sure it cant be physical fitness because 2 weeks of training on physical fitness cant last you a full season..

sanju , 11/26/11 5:05 PM

sanju.... yes, I just mentioned "in this form", and though it is true that holding on to such high standard of play for almost throughout the year is almost impossible, but had he been able to do that, he is sure to defeat everyone on every surface. Not that it is sure to happen, but we will see how he fares in the coming days.

Sienna,
I didn't knew that nadline is a woman who had different ID's and has a habit of posting such abusive comments. That in itself explains her behavior here.
And yes, Fed is really in a great form now, and it makes me wonder, had he been even half of this form all through year, could he ended up with a couple of Slams too earlier this year or not. He has an affinity to make it big in the Slams though, so we can always hope for the best.

solitudine , 11/26/11 5:26 PM

Yes, I agree with you solitudine (for sure, for sure), "we can always hope for the best..."

by FED standards 2011 was not a very good year for him, but even with that he is still #3, which is GREAT of course (although I don't care so much about standings) it does mean he is still winning enough to be near the top (and lets not kid ourselves the winning part is more fun (for sure, for sure LOL) we will see what happens in 2012, somehow I would suspect, and be very surprised if the FED repeated 2011 results, in 2012 I believe the FED will be more himself and win more, and win MORE. It is GREAT being a FEDfan, he always produces something... another slam (or 2) in 2012 perhaps?! :). Why not?!!! The FED loves tennis and he is ultra good at it. Go for it Mr Genius of tennis FED! Go for it! In the meantime lets just enjoy another Great tennis match tomorrow. Introducing The FED! :) Go champ! ALL THE BEST FED!

sky , 11/26/11 6:12 PM

We don't watch tennis to see Roger win everything. In fact watching Roger lose is more entertaing than he winning-e-la Keli, condom or no condom. We know what is in store when he is about to lose. Take Safin's defeat of Roger at AO 200? and take Novak's defeat of AO 200? and Nadals's in 2008 at SW19 and AO. They are known to be blockbusters because not who won but because who lost! Nadline and Luckystar its tennis and not football or soccer as you people call it in America and it is played with applomb, finnese, composure and there is one and only one Roger Federer. Bring 'em all.

newfangkc , 11/26/11 6:53 PM

quite right newfangkc/good point

We have experienced numerous Fantastic/GREAT/and BEST of tennis matches (blockbusters) where Roger Federer has been involved win or lose. RIVETING! Nail Biting! LOL! C'MON Roger! You still have it in you. Let's get to it! :)

sky , 11/26/11 7:21 PM

Well if he is that wonderful and will win everything in sight next year based on his knock out indoor season, then there is no point anyone else turning up on a tennis court is there? Might just as well hand over all the trophies right now. The rest of the tour must be quaking in their tennis shoes.

Let's just wait and see what happens before you lot go off on a delusional blockbuster worthy of an oscar.

By the way stop having a go at nadline - you lot are the last to talk about mud slinging and abusive comments - you are the experts from what I have seen on TT. As usual the people who like to dish it out cannot take!

schatz , 11/26/11 9:05 PM

schatz , 11/26/11 9:05 PM

who is being delusional? no one has said except you that if he (Roger) is that wonderfull...then there is no point anyone else turning up on a tennis court, Roger (as always) stands a very good chance of doing well next year. Roger has also been in many Riviting blockbuster games over the years, this could happen again (again this is not delusional). Roger is a great player, not (usually) easily beaten . No one is saying anything is certain accept you again with "might as well hand over all the trophies right now". It goes without saying no matter what is said is places like this that anything can happen in the future, and I don't expect as you say "The rest of the tour must be quaking in their tennis shoes". I just hope for good tennis as always, and cheer for my fav Roger to win, or at least put on a good showing. There is nothing delusional here. My feet are firmly on the ground and I do not require tennis to be happy. I believe anyone here has enough intelligence to realize anything we say regarding the future of our fav is merely speculative, and wishful thinking, and with some more than others good educated guesses can be made. I mean this is a place to talk about our tennis. I realize some people have lost there fav in this tournament, that is natural, happens to all of us. The game of tennis continues. Maybe your fav will be on top of his game next time. Cheers, and best wishes.

sky , 11/26/11 11:55 PM

@schatz

Who are you to support nadline? Just flip through some of the above posts and see what are some of the comments that insane woman is making about Federer, just because he is winning so nicely and Nadal is loosing to everyone! It's clearly seen that she is the one who started it and has gone quiet since some of the respected members objected to some of her mud slinging! Now, if that is something you support, then I am sorry, I doubt your sanity and it is really hard to see any difference between you and her. Don't just try to protect her for that, instead, do admit that what she is saying is completely baseless and far from any technical analysis in a thread, which doesn't even features Nadal.

If she finds Roger that boring, then why on earth is she watching World Tour Finals and caring to comment in a thread which is focusing on the proceedings of a tournament where Nadal is long gone instead of doing something else? Don't think because of you, everyone has to take and swallow those abusive words against someone who is greatly known for his artistic display on court and astounding achievements both on and off the court, and is still the best tennis player ever to have walked on this planet by his sheer performance!

solitudine , 11/27/11 12:53 AM

Congrats Roger and all Federer fans. Commiseration to murray for going down to #4. It feels so good to be able to talk about the top 3 again.

One more match to go. Another record coming.

Tsonga to get beaten yet again for the 3rd time in 3 weeks.

bleck , 11/27/11 12:54 AM

Sanju you just donot know how they and fed in particular operate.

Fed has 3 to 4 of those fitness trainingblocks. Not 1 and then does nothing. And it is his fitnesstraining. Two major ones with one of them in december where he lays the groundworks for the fitnes he requires troughout the year.

So he didnot take one in december 2007 (mono) Paganini goes further into the mono year, 2008 (back) 2009 he did take on (AU 2010 as a result) 2010 he didnot take his major fitsnestraining in december but after AU Open/ So again he goes with the december doctrine and I feel very confident about him peaking at AU Open 2012.

sanju, "Berdych-Tsonga will play at night and we know how intense that will be..The winner will be too gassed out to offer anything to Fed on Sunday day time again because of no recovery time"

one hour and a half was all that took for tsonga to beat berdych...

bleck , 11/27/11 11:33 AM

Yes bleck..it got over fast..Berdy came out gassed..but the reason for that was his intense 3 setter with David the day before..Berdy had no sting in his others..too many UE..

I said in other thread that because the match got over in 90 mns, Tsonga atleast has a chance now to make a match out of it..else Fed would have eaten him alive
