World No. 21 Feliciano Lopez is set for a first-time meeting with world No. 25 John Isner, as the players vie for a spot in the BNP Paribas quarterfinals. The winner will move on to face either David Ferrer or Alexandr Dolgopolov.
Feliciano Lopez reached the round of 16 after knocking out 2010 finalist Gael Monfils Wednesday evening. The veteran withstood 12 aces through to a 6-3, 6-4 victory in 81 minutes.
He remains on track to make his sixth tour-level quarterfinal of the season.
Isner defeated lucky loser Igor Kunitsyn in the second round, 6-4, 6-4. The 26-year-old American is bidding for his 35th match win of the year.
Prediction: Lopez in three sets.

yep, appears 50-50
all comes down to Lopez. You know what you will get from Isner every time out. No idea what Lopez will bring to the table on any given day.
