Andy Murray will look to continue his hot streak as he takes the court for the last Masters tournament of the year.
World No. 3 Andy Murray claims that he is feeling fine after pulling out of the Basel tournament last week with a freak injury. The Scot took a late wildcard into the tournament, only to wake up the morning he was supposed to play with sciatica from sleeping wrong.
Prior to his problem in Basel, however, the Scot has been on a tear. Murray won the events in Bangkok, Tokyo and Shanghai. The Scot hasn’t lost a match since he went down in the semifinals of the US Open to Rafael Nadal.
Murray holds a handy 3-0 record over world No. 110 Jeremy Chardy. The Frenchman will be sure to have the backing of the home crowd, but given Murray’s recent form, even a set for Chardy would be a surprise.
