Stanislas Wawrinka looks to break a 1-1 series tie with John Isner on Tuesday. The Swiss leads 1-0 on hard courts after winning their first meeting at the 2009 tournament in Tokyo.
Wawrinka makes his return to competition following a semifinal finish in Basel. The 26-year-old reached the final four before falling to eventual champion Roger Federer. He is bidding for his 36th victory of the season.
Isner will attempt to regroup after suffering a first-round loss in Valencia. The American is 32-20 for the season, aiming to win his first match in Paris since 2009.
Feliciano Lopez vs. Michael Llodra
Feliciano Lopez is level at 2-2 in the series against Michael Llodra. The Frenchman leads 2-1 on hard-court.
Lopez looks to rebound following an opening-round defeat in Valencia. The 30-year-old Spaniard remains on track to win his 35th match of the year.
Llodra is a modest 17-21 for the season after a first-round loss in Basel. The French veteran has not won a tour-level match since reaching late August, when he advanced to the second round at the US Open.
