Andy Murray and Andy Roddick will be in Wednesday action in a seed-packed day at the Swiss Indoors Basel.
Andy Murray (2) vs. Robin Haase
World No. 3 Andy Murray has had the best fall indoor season on the men’s tour. The Scot won a tournament trifecta in Asia, with titles in Bangkok, Tokyo and at the Shanghai Masters. He comes into Basel as a wildcard with his sites on top seed Novak Djokovic and Swiss hero Roger Federer.
If Murray’s form were shaky, this would have been a tough opening round match. Robin Haase of the Netherlands is at his absolute best on the speedy indoor courts in autumn and he has a win over Murray on the hard courts of Rotterdam. But with the kind of form Murray is enjoying right now, a win for the Dutchman would be a massive upset.
Prediction – Murray in straight sets.
Andy Roddick (7) vs. Tommy Haas
Since 2001, Andy Roddick and Tommy Haas, both veterans, have played 12 times. Haas actually holds a 7-5 record over the American, but the German is now ranked 212 to Roddick’s No. 15. The American had a good showing in Shanghai, with a quarterfinal result.
Haas is slowly finding his way back to form. The German had to qualify for the Vienna tournament, but found his way to quarterfinals there before going down to Juan Martin Del Potro.
Roddick will be the favorite in this match, but Haas could put on a good show for the Swiss crowd. Roddick for the win in 3.

The times you've posted can't be right, it says 16-singles, 17- doubles! lol even Mighty Murray probably couldn't manage that.

Even after Andy's terrific Autumn, us fans always feel some trepidation before he steps on court: tremble first serve percentage, tremble forehand etc. Haase can be tricky too, very good when hot and very bad when cold.
Come on Andy, all the way to the trophy :)
