Roger Federer will take the court in front of the hometown crowd as the Swiss Indoors get under way on Monday.
Roger Federer hasn’t played a tournament since he lost in the semifinals of the US Open to Novak Djokovic after having match points. The world No. 4 was too fatigued to play the Asian swing.
Federer’s first match should be fairly straightforward. The Swiss will take on Italian clay-courter Potito Starace, a player he’s beaten all five times they’ve played. Federer has been so dominant in their matchups that he hasn’t lost a set to Starace since 2004.
Anything but a dominant Federer victory would be a shocking result. The Swiss crowd should have plenty of reasons to cheer on their countryman on Monday night.

Finally, tennis is out of hibernation. Watch for the haters show their foul comments about the maestro on this thread. You know who I mean.
