Top seed Juan Martin Del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will do battle with the Erste Bank Open title on the line.
With the Davis Cup final looming, Juan Martin Del Potro is finally hitting his stride. The Argentine took the fall Asian swing off before returning to Europe one last time before his big final against the favored Spanish team.
He comes into this final with a healthy 3-0 record over opponent Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who has his own motivation for doing well the week. Tsonga is sitting on the qualifying bubble for the World Tour Finals, to be played in November in London. The Frenchman is currently eighth, but he hasn't secured one of the eight spots yet.
Del Potro's wins have come on both hard courts and clay, but the two men haven't played since 2009. This is a new, improved Tsonga who will surely have chances in Sunday's match.
Expect a hard-hitting match with explosive forehands and big serving, with Tsonga coming out just slightly ahead at the end of the day.

Tsonga played brilliantly. If this level of play continues he will a threat at the WTFs(assuming he qualifies) I think he has a shot at winning the Paris Masters. He enjoys the limelight he receives in Paris.

So I'm right, Tsonga wins in the end. Winning Paris, not that easy, with the top four plus Berdych. Also Delpo, Cilic and Tipsy!

Here are my impressions of the past week:
Due to the recheduling of Montpellier, this years field was high class (very low cut off) .
First of all i saw the Qualification (its alway free entry, which is a great), including Tommy Haas, they offered him a WC for the main draw, but he only accepted it for the Quali, to gain some match experience. He finally made it to the Quarters, were he lost to DelPo. He´s not the youngest any more, but still a factor in Bo3.
Saturdays Semis were kind of a serve orgie, Anderson-DelPo and Brands-Tsonga, bum bumm....
But todays final was just great, i mean, what a final for our small 250 tourney...What i liked most is, that they both were relaxed, but still took it seriouse
(well, it wasn´t a major final),but they still showed some great tennis. Whatching the Bryans too, was the "cherry on the pie".
Ps: Did you know that R.Stepanek is a great entertainer? He played Saturdays doubles with DelPo, and made the crowd "go wild", Nestor/Mirni were not amused, but they were the only two, haha, legendary stuff by Radek!
So,overall Vienna was probably one of the best "250s" this season,
and i´m looking forward for next year.
Cheers

This match is really very tight, really can't tell who will win in the end. I still like the way Berdych played at Beijing, compared to these two guys. I feel that Tsonga may edge out a win here.
