St. Petersburg - Simon, Dolgopolov in first-round action Top seed Gilles Simon will kick off his campaign in St. Petersburg, as he takes to the court against compatriot Adrian Mannarino. Third seed Alexandr Dolgopolov is also in action, set to face wildcard Dudi Sela.

    (1) Gilles Simon vs. Adrian Mannarino

World No. 12 Gilles Simon trails first-round opponent Adrian Mannarino 1-0 in the series, having lost their only previous meeting earlier this season at Queen’s Club.

Simon returns to competition following a round of 16 finish at the Masters 1000 Shanghai. The 26-year-old is bidding for his 40th victory of the season.

The 86th-ranked Mannarino looks to rebound after a first-round loss in Stockhholm. The Frenchman will attempt to record his 15th Tour-level win in 2011.

    (3) Alexandr Dolgopolov vs. (WC) Dudi Sela

Third seed Alexandr Dolgopolov enters into St. Petersburg at a career-high world No. 16. The 22-year-old aims to regroup following an early exit in Moscow. He looks to win his 38th match of the season.

World No. 97 Dudi Sela is set to make his debut in St. Petersburg Monday afternoon. The 26-year-old is a modest 7-14 at tour level this year.
