Fifth seed Alex Bogomolov looks to regroup after a second-round exit at the Masters 1000 Shanghai. The 28-year-old American is a modest 20-17, entering into his first tournament in Moscow.
World No. 239 Dusan Lajovic makes his return to the ATP World Tour for the first time since Umag. The 21-year-old Serbian is bidding for his second career victory in a main draw event.

World No. 50 Gilles Muller trails first-round opponent Konstantin Kravchuk 0-2 in the series, having lost two hard-court meetings on the Challenger Tour.
The 28-year-old veteran is 16-9 for the season, following a semifinal finish in Metz. He will attempt to win his first match at the Kremlin Cup early Tuesday.
World No. 165 Kravchuk is set for his first Tour-level appearance since mid-June. The 26-year-old Russian looks to record his first main draw victory in 2011.
