An in-form Andy Murray will commence his Shanghai title defense as he takes to the court against Dmitry Tursunov on Wednesday night. The Scot looks to capture his third consecutive ATP World Tour crown this week.
World No. 4 Andy Murray holds a 5-0 series edge against Dmitry Tursunov entering into the second round. The players are meeting for the first time since 2008.
Murray is 50-11 for the season after scoring title-winning runs in Bangkok and Tokyo. The 24-year-old won his fourth championship last Sunday, having rallied to oust world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in three sets.
Tursunov defeated Thomaz Bellucci in the first round, 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5. He is bidding for his 18th victory in 2011.
Prediction: Murray in straight sets.
