Top seed Andy Roddick looks to reach the final four in Winston-Salem on Thursday, as he takes on fellow seed Juan Monaco. Joining the veteran in action is compatriot John Isner, who faces Marcos Baghdatis.

World No. 21 Andy Roddick advanced to the quarterfinal by virtue of his straight-set victory over 15th seed Santiago Giraldo. The 28-year-old needed just 67 minutes to pass through the round of 16, 6-1, 6-3.
He is bidding for his first semifinal appearance since June, when he made the semifinal at Queen’s Club.
World No. 36 Juan Monaco has won consecutive straight-set matches, having downed both Tobias Kamke and qualifier Kei Nishikori en route to the quarterfinal. The 27-year-old Argentine looks to make his first hard-court semi this season.
Prediction: Roddick in three sets.
(4) John Isner vs. (8) Marcos Baghdatis
World No. 28 John Isner holds a 2-0 series lead over 8th seed Marcos Baghdatis. The players last met at the 2011 Masters 1000 Canada, where the American recorded a win in straight sets.
Isner passed into the quarterfinal after taking out 13th seed Jarkko Nieminen in straight sets. The 26-year-old has tallied 27 aces through two rounds of competition. He remains on course to book his third hard-court semifinal this year.
World No. 60 Marcos Baghdatis defeated Steve Darcis in the round of 16, 7-5, 6-0. The 26-year-old Cypriot looks to make his first hard-court semi on Thursday.
Prediction: Isner in straight sets.
