Kei Nishikori will attempt to win his second ATP World Tour title, as he faces familiar opponent Ryan Sweeting at the US Men’s Clay Court Championship. The players are meeting for the fifth time on Sunday.
Sixth seed Kei Nishikori holds a 4-0 lifetime advantage over wildcard Ryan Sweeting heading into the Houston final. The two last clashed earlier this season in Delray Beach, where a quarterfinal meeting went to Nishikori in three sets.
The World No. 61 advanced to the final by virtue of his straight-set ousting of 7th seed Pablo Cuevas. He has competed well during his second effort in Houston, having downed qualifier Franco Skugor, Igor Andreev and top seed Mardy Fish all in straight sets.
Nishikori is bidding for his second ATP World Tour title Sunday afternoon. The 21-year-old captured his first in 2008, when he put together a title-winning run in Delray Beach.
World No. 93 Ryan Sweeting made his first Tour-level final after downing qualifier Ivo Karlovic in straight sets, 7-6(3), 6-3. The 23-year-old American survived a challenging path through the draw, with come-from-behind wins recorded over Teymuraz Gabashvili and 2010 finalist Sam Querrey.
Prediction: Nishikori in straight sets.

I would love to see Nishikori win his first title. He did well against Rafa and maybe that performance gave him some additional confidence.

nishi won delray beach in 2008 so he has one atp title already but it's the only one. then was pretty much injured after that and again during AO this year. i hope he can have a smooth run from now. i enjoy watching him play and i like his style.

Sorry, it does clearly say in the article that this would be his second title. All I need to do is read it more carefully.
Well, here's to another title, Nishikori!

Never thought I'd see Ryan win a title. Good on him. Thought the title of the article was a bit presumptous and disrespectful to Ryan. Glad he won.
