Guillermo Garcia-Lopez is scheduled to square off against first-time opponent Michael Llodra on Saturday. The players are vying for the top prize in Eastbourne.
World No. 41 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez will attempt to win his second-career ATP World Tour title Saturday afternoon. The 27-year-old Spaniard, seeded fifth this week, is through to his first final since sealing a title-winning run in Kitzbuhel last season. Garcia-Lopez enters into Saturday’s championship match with a 19-15 record in 2010.
Garcia-Lopez advanced to the final after rallying to take out Denis Istomin in Friday’s semifinal. The Spaniard dug out of a set deficit to record a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory in one hour and 57 minutes. The World No. 41 has endured a fairly arduous road to the championship, having survived three-set matches with both veteran Marc Gicquel and 4th seed Julien Benneteau.
World No. 46 Michael Llodra is bidding for his second ATP World Tour title in 2010. The 30-year-old Frenchman won his first in February, when he took home the trophy in Marseilles. With a championship victory on Saturday, Llodra will extend his career total to five titles.
Llodra, seeded eighth at the AEGON International, has built a 16-11 mark for the season. The Frenchman made his way through the draw with wins over qualifier Martin Emmrich, compatriot Stephane Robert, 3rd-seeded countryman Gilles Simon and 7th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov.
Llodra has tallied 50 aces through four rounds of competition.
Prediction: The Frenchman in three sets.

Yes congrats to Llodra! Well played match, won in straight sets. Nice S & V game too! Well Garcia-Lopez still has chances to win later on during the year, as there are still some clay tournaments after the Wimbledon.

Should be a nice final. Will see some S & V, and hopefully some rallies too. I always like Llodra's S & V game, but he is one inconsistent player. I noticed that he has four singles title so far, and Garcia-Lopez has only one. So for me, either one wins this title is fine with me, and I'm sure they will both move up the rankings after this week. Well done to both of them.
