(5) Guillermo Garcia-Lopez vs. Denis Istomin
Fifth seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez makes his second appearance in an ATP World Tour semifinal late Friday, set to take on first-time opponent Denis Istomin. The world No. 41 has built an 18-15 record in 2010, aided by a run to the final four in Estoril. The 27-year-old advanced to his second consecutive AEGON International semi after recording wins over Marc Gicquel, Fabio Fognini and 4th seed Julien Benneteau.
World No. 74 Denis Istomin aims to reach his maiden Tour final with a victory on Friday. The 23-year-old improved his season mark to 14-11, bolstered by straight-set wins over Eduardo Schwank, Nicolas Almagro and Illya Marchenko.
Prediction: Istomin in straight sets.

The veteran Frenchman booked a semifinal spot in Eastbourne after taking out third-seeded compatriot Gilles Simon in less than one hour. Llodra has compiled a 15-11 record for the year with help from a title-winning run in Marseilles.
World No. 47 Alexandr Dolgopolov will make his Tour-level semifinal debut on Friday. The 21-year-old came through the draw with victories against Jamie Baker, Yen-Hsun Lu and James Ward. Dolgopolov has tallied 43 aces through three rounds of competition.
