Fellow seeds Marin Cilic and Feliciano Lopez are in second-round action at the AEGON Championships on Wednesday, set to take on respective opponents Nicolas Mahut and Grigor Dimitrov. The winners advance to the round of 16.
(5) Marin Cilic vs. (Q) Nicolas Mahut
Fifth seed Marin Cilic will be looking to break a 1-1 series tie with qualifier Nicolas Mahut Wednesday evening. The players last met at the 2009 Queen’s Club event, where the Frenchman defeated the Croat in two tie-break sets.
The World No. 12 makes his return to competition following a round of 16 loss to Robin Soderling at the French Open. The 21-year-old has compiled a solid 29-9 record this season, aided by title-winning runs in Chennai and Zagreb. Cilic, a Queen’s Club quarter-finalist in his 2007 debut (lost to Roddick), has reached the final eight or better in five tournaments in 2010.
Qualifier Nicolas Mahut, ranked World No. 148, began his seventh AEGON Championships with a 7-6(2), 6-4 victory over Yen-Hsun Lu in the opening round. The 28-year-old veteran reached the 2007 final, where he finished runner-up to four-time champion Andy Roddick.
Prediction: Cilic in two close sets.
(8) Feliciano Lopez vs. (WC) Grigor Dimitrov
World No. 31 Feliciano Lopez faces wildcard Grigor Dimitrov for their first career meeting early Wednesday. The Spaniard, seeded eighth this week, has built a 15-11 season mark with the help of a championship success in Johannesburg. The 28-year-old aims to rebound after a first-round loss to qualifier Julien Reister in Paris. Lopez advanced to the 2009 Queen’s Club round of 16 before falling to Mardy Fish in straight sets.
The 360th-ranked Dimitrov rallied to take out qualifier Alex Bogdanovic in the opening round, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The 19-year-old has spent the majority of 2010 playing on the Challenger Tour, and is 3-0 for the season.
Prediction: Lopez in three sets.

Dimitrov was disappointing, too many wild shots, no percentage play and too many wrong choice shots. One commentator said it was a man playing a boy and that's what it looked like.
