Something's got to give when Roger Federer and Ivo Karlovic meet in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday. Will it be Federer's current hot-streak and grass-court dominance, or will it be Karlovic's massive serve?
Roger Federer and Ivo Karlovic will be squaring of for the tenth time in their careers on Wednesday afternoon in the Wimbledon quarterfinals. Federer leads the head-to-head series 8-1, including 1-0 on grass. That grass-court meeting was their first-ever encounter, and it came five years ago in the Wimbledon fourth round; Federer prevailed 6-3, 7-6(3), 7-6(5).
Although Federer is a prohibitive favorite in this quarterfinal showdown, there's a good chance multiple tiebreakers will be once again the order of the day when the two players do battle for a second time at the All-England Club. After all, Karlovic has been devastating on serve so far this fortnight. The 6'10'' Croat arrived at the All-England Club with a mediocre 14-13 match record on the season, but it's all turning around for him now. Thanks primarily to an incredible serve, Karlovic has dispatched Lukas Lacko, Steve Darcis, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Fernando Verdasco en route to his maiden appearance in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam. In his upset of Tsonga, Karlovic fired 46 against just two double-faults. He never faced a single break point against Verdasco.
Wreaking the same havoc on an in-form Federer, however, will be a whole different task. After winning no titles in 2009 prior to the clay-court swing, the world No. 2 beat Rafael Nadal in Madrid then captured his first French Open title. Federer now owns 14 Grand Slam singles titles, and his sixth Wimbledon would leave him alone ahead of Pete Sampras with 15 overall slam wins. So far at the All-England Club his current surge is showing no signs of slowing down. After near-flawless straight-set wins over Yen-Hsun Lu and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, the Swiss ousted Philipp Kohlschreiber in four sets. He returned to his straight-set ways on Monday with another win over French Open runner-up Robin Soderling, although it took two tiebreakers.
As in almost every Karlovic match, this one could come down to just a few critical points. The underdog actually has a legitimate chance, because if his serve is on fire, even Federer can do very little against it. Of course if Karlovic fails to put in an extremely high percentage of first serves, he has almost no hope. Given their past history as well as Federer's current hot streak, an upset here is hard to imagine even if Karlovic serves well. Federer in four sets is the pick.

just picking up on tomnjerry's post...as this is the most recent fed thread...have posted it here guys....(as most recent match fed has played....and it is funny....)..
Robin Soderling wants to take on Roger Federer in a marathon.
And that's because after losing his 11th consecutive match to the world No.2, the Swede has definitely had enough of playing the "perfect" Swiss star at tennis.
"I will beat him in the marathon - easy," joked the No.13 seed Soderling. "I'm pretty good at the marathon. I think I'm stronger than him."
But even though Soderling only lost his powerful serve once - in a replay of the French Open Final - he was simply outclassed by the fivetime Wimbledon champion, who is looking superb.
Even when 5-4 up in the third set tiebreak, Soderling crashed a brutal forehand crosscourt only to see the majestic Federer whip a wonderful winner past him. It was more of a sprint than a marathon.
"There is not a lot you can do," admitted the Swede, who has only ever taken one set off Federer in the 26 they have played. "He's the biggest favourite here. If he plays well, he's going to win." Last year's beaten finalist Federer has been rejuvenated since his nemesis Rafa Nadal lost to Soderling in Paris, and the Swiss has now completed his career Grand Slam.

Allez Federer!

this will be an extremely interesting match! cant wait to see what Fed will come up with against Dr. Ivo. Anyone wanna bet on how many breaks of Ivo's serve there will be?
stu , 6/30/09 3:34 PM
There is only one tactic against Karlovic - return his serve; then there is the hope that he serves lots of double faults, if he serves well it's Goodnight Roger. In all other areas, Karlovic is lacking, he has been beaten in the first round on numerous occasions to unknown players, so Roger has to hope that his serve is not on target tomorrow, that's he's only hope, except that Hewitt managed to beat Karlovic inspite of serving 55 aces in the match.
carrie , 6/30/09 3:34 PM
Sorry I need to edit again............that's his only hope (not he's).
carrie , 6/30/09 3:37 PM
here we go.....the fedtrashers are back...look at the stats carrie.....roger has broken ivo's serve this year....TWICE....there will be no 'goodnight roger'....just 'hello sunshine'......i dont care what you say...we are dealing with an entirely different player whether you like it or not......it's got nothing to do with 'hope' and everything to do with 'make'....roger got to 'make' it happen....he has been doing more than fine so far....and will continue to do so.....no pressure for him.....he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone....he has played Ivo before and will do what he can tomorrow in order to win....i believe that.....every single fed fan believes that he has the game, the will, the power....roger's serve is brilliant as well..yesterday he served at 130 mph.....brilliant stuff....he needs to make sure he is serving well.....so far so good....plus he has been winning 87% of all first serve points.....roger will bring his game onto court tomorrow....and go for the kill....as he always does....
he is here to move to the next round...that is the plan and nothing is going to stop his mindset...he is too hungry for his dinner!
C'MON!
Allez Federer!

you can put a tiltle to the match already right : Ultimate vs. none
i hope this match happens while am at work because i know it is going to be boring. comon Roger next match is so nerve wrecking go for it!
tennislover , 6/30/09 3:59 PM
I am always just as concerned and wary everytime I see Karlovic in Rafa's half of the draw. He is a nightmare to play against and he does not allow his opponent to get into the match if he is serving well. All players have a chance if he serves a lot of double faults, and sometimes he does. I don't think anyone looks forward to playing him.
Karlovic has never beaten Rafa either, but that doesn't mean that Rafa looks forward to playing him. You just can't work out a plan, because if he is serving well, his serves are unreturnable, and you don't have a chance to play your game.
carrie , 6/30/09 4:00 PM
Federer's view
Q. How do you prepare to play against someone against Ivo Karlovic?
ROGER FEDERER: Same as I do against other players. I like those sort of challenges, you know. I mean, it's maybe not the most fun match to go through. But I like to beat this guy, you know, because he makes it hard on us, you know, to beat him. He's become an excellent player. Not only just his serve, he's got to have something more otherwise he wouldn't be ranked where he is and he wouldn't be beating all those good players.
He's not to be underestimated. I've played him on all surfaces in my career: indoors, outdoors, grass, clay. I've even played him here, so I would like to play him.
and
ROGER FEDERER: I played him in Indian Wells this year. I thought it was a tough match. Had it under control. He came back. Was supposed to win the second set. I think he served for the set there.
But he's a great player. He's really improved I think the last nine months since he won Davis Cup and played so well in Australia. He's always been dangerous, you know. He's always had that. But just now he seems more stable in his game and his mind and everything. This is obviously a big test for him right now.
C'MON!
malteser1 , 6/30/09 4:06 PM
FEdex in straight sets is my pick....Karlovic cant drown federer with his serves ,
even if he does how would he dodge the federer serve, coz other than his serve his game is a disgrace to tennis,Even if he was 7"10' he cant beat federer, what a shame verdasco lost to such a looser...
jibi , 6/30/09 4:08 PM
I think Karlovic should be given a nice lump sum and dispatched to his favourite holiday spot. He is not a real tennis player, apart from his serve, he is weak in all other areas, but his serve is lethal when it's on, and being in the draw spoils it for everyone.
Players are so frustrated, they just concentrate on holding their serve and returning his. If they manage to return his serve then they usually win the point.
carrie , 6/30/09 4:16 PM
Malt, good morning. Left you a couple posts on that other Fed thread where you were last night.
Agree JIBI! This last 2 soderling sets were pretty much on serve, game by game and went to tie break.
Fed will have numerous options in mind for beating Ivo...ones mere mortals like us cannot fathom and neither will Ivo understand until in the match. Ivo may serve the match of his life tomorrow but Fed has an answer....if necessary....just be patient and wait for the tie break. Ivo has little hope of breaking Federer and must serve brilliant, that is Ivo's pressure. The guy has nothing to lose....Fed knows that too. Not many scenarios in GS quarters that Fed has not been thru....Fed dances!
point by point Fedfans!
Best of Health!

I don't think much has changed except that Ivo is a little better, but Roger is more relaxed, as well as "ULTRA READY" for Ivo like he (Roger) was the last time. Oh by the way, Roger WON last time too! LOL :) Roger! Roger! ROGER!!! :)

Yes he'll score on his opponent's serve if they have UEs, with no chance of breaking his serve.
carrie , 6/30/09 6:20 PM
I think he deserves his chances just like everyone else. Karlovic is a bit of a freak ( the man is 6' 10" !!), but he has taken that freakishness and done what he could with it.
Go Freak power !!
smr , 6/30/09 6:29 PM
Fed had a problem breaking Soderling's serve so imagine what problems he will have trying to break Ivo's serve! If Ivo's serve is on, then all fed will be able to do is wave bye bye to that point. And even fed admits he has other talents BESIDES his serve ( no need to post what fed said a THIRD time in one thread please malty).
This is a fed-Ivo thread. People can post what they want concerning Ivo. Doesn't have to be all pro-fed. ("here we go.....the fedtrashers are back")

Ivo Karlovic, 2.08m tall and the son of a meteorologist, has been raining down aces throughout this tournament, 137 of them in four matches.
Still, the 30-year-old Croat will hold few fears for second seed Federer, who has won eight of their nine matches to date, including two this season and one at Wimbledon back in 2004.
It will be a huge surprise if Federer is not facing Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals as the 22-year-old Serb faces 31-year-old German Tommy Haas in a clash of two generations.
There is nothing there to worry Federer unduly on grass, not even the Murraymania inspired by the home hope's five-set win under the roof Monday.
Federer, who won five Wimbledons in a row before losing to Rafa Nadal in that epic final last year, is a class apart on this surface.

second instalment fft.....
In his last three matches his opponents have not even forced a break point, but Karlovic has often found Federer too good for him in the past, the Swiss having won eight of their nine meetings.
Karlovic, meanwhile, has the utmost respect for his opponent.
"The reason why he was number one and also why he's maybe the best player ever is because in the tight situations he can play his best tennis," said the 22nd seed.
Roger is a smooth criminal....the mighty J! Annie are you okay? Annie are you okay? Are you okay Annie?

You have to know where his serving patterns are and be able to get the serve back.
That is one area that Federer has above all the other players, he knows how to anticipate it and he knows how to block it back.
Most sets with Karlovic will come down to tie-breakers and, when push comes to shove, you have one opportunity to take a set, and Federer will be able to do it.
That is why he has a 8-1 winning record over Karlovic and that is what makes him the greatest player that has ever played the game as he is always able to take those opportunities.
HOW GOOD IS THE REST OF KARLOVIC'S GAME? WHAT ARE HIS WEAKNESSES?
He has improved a lot recently. He has worked very hard physically and I know two years ago he hired a full-time physical trainer.
He now gets down low on his volleys and his backhand is stronger than his forehand at the net.
Most people's tactics to Karlovic is to get the serve back any which way they can and from then target his big weakness at the back of the court - the backhand passing shot on the run.
Everyone aims for that because for him it is a one out of 10 shot and you need to take advantage of his movement.
HOW CAN FEDERER UPSET KARLOVIC'S SERVING SUCCESS?
It does play on your mind when somebody gets on top of your serve.
Karlovic has already served an outstanding 137 aces in four matches
The cleverer players have tactics to seize on any doubts or weaknesses and there is no-one better at it than Federer.
He will probably change his return-of-serve stance, he will stand further back, move around tactically and position himself so that he won't be standing in the same place all the time.
C'MON!

I posted what Roddick said....just for a bit of differentiation....i mean i know it must be hard to read when many people out there have confidence in Federer.....hell...even some of the players! W-O-W....just...W-O-W....
"It doesn't get any easier from here," Roddick said. "I mean, I have loads of respect for Lleyton and what he's been able to accomplish. Everyone knows he's certainly capable of playing very, very, very well on this surface....
He certainly was but the master of grass is now Federer and it will take something special if anyone is to stop him setting a new grand slam record come Sunday.

I hope Federer breaks at least a game per set so that he will not need to face any tie-breaker~ It's like watching Russian roulets!!!
fan4tennis, i think we should remember that Soderling is a better player (for sure) than Karlovic. If Federer could break Soderling's game (which he did in the first set), he will be sure to find a way to break Karlovic's.
Roger~~~ you can do it again!!! 3 straight sets!!!!!
Colleen , 6/30/09 7:26 PM
It's also good to remember that Soderling has WAY MORE going for him than Karlovic. There's more to breaking someone's service game than just the opponent's serve. With Ivo, you just need to get your return in play, then you're in the point. Not so with Soderling.

Arvis , 6/30/09 7:43 PM
Smooth Criminal! love the MJ dance mix, Malt. Thanks for the "installments"
Like the journo says, Federer will anticipate the serve placement. Most sets may well be decided in tie breaks so Colleen, could be a nail biter. For some reason I am not as nervous about this match than I was about the Soderling one....Arvis, could not agree more.
FFT when are you gonna get on the Federexpress? Got a seat saved for you, munchies, and a nice glossy of Rafa!

alik , 6/30/09 9:49 PM
hey fedfans....here is a recent comment from fed about 'where he's at' right now......
alik.....great to have a sense of humour and to be positive.....
Federer's first-ever title at Roland Garros came after being runner-up for the past three years. He beat Sweden's Robin Söderling in the final in straight sets.
"[That's] maybe my greatest victory ? or certainly the one that takes the most pressure off my shoulders," he said.
Nevertheless he says he is still hungry for more success on the grass courts of Wimbledon in southwestern London.
"I don't want to underestimate the other players, but I have the game, the attitude and the experience to win many more titles here."
Simon Cambers, a British tennis journalist, agrees. "Now [Federer's] got the French Open off his back, he's going to be more relaxed and that makes him more dangerous ? especially on grass where he's been so good in the past," he told swissinfo.ch.
"He doesn't feel he needs to prove anything anymore, whereas he did until just a few weeks ago."
Fearlessness
Federer's fearlessness of five-set matches could be crucial, even if he will not face Nadal in this tournament.
Federer saved two championship points in a fourth-set tiebreak last year but eventually lost the epic match ? described by John McEnroe as "the greatest I've ever seen" ? 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-7(8), 9-7.
That defeat prevented Federer from lifting the Wimbledon trophy for a record sixth consecutive year and also ended his 65-match winning streak on grass.
After Nadal knocked him off the top of the world rankings in August, Federer said his main goal would be to regain the Wimbledon title rather than the top spot.
"While I'd love to beat Pete's record, and also to regain my number-one ranking, I place winning another Wimbledon title above all else," he said at the time.

Rivals in tears, awe over Federer(AFP)
29 June 2009
LONDON - As Roger Federer takes aim at a record 15th Grand Slam title, fellow players remain in awe of the great man.
Some are even in tears.
?It looks so easy when he steps on the court,? said Serbian women?s star Ana Ivanovic.
?I think he?s such a great champion. I was so thrilled for him when he won the French Open. I actually had little tears in my eyes when he was making the speech. I think he deserves it so much.?
Australia?s Lleyton Hewitt, who won Wimbledon in 2002, the year before Federer went on his five-title winning streak, described the Swiss star as ?amazing?.
Hewitt has won seven but lost 14 of his 21 career meetings with Federer in an epic rivalry stretching back to 1999. The last of his wins was in the Davis Cup in 2003.
?The way that he?s been able to go out and be so consistent in so many Grand Slams back to back is an incredible effort,? said Hewitt, impressed by Federer?s record of having reached at least the semi-finals of the last 20 majors.
?It?s hard enough just to do it for a couple years. He?s been able to do it for five or six years now in a row. Twenty Grand Slam semi-finals in a row is unheard of.
?Physically you?ve got to be extremely strong, but mentally as well. Not to have lapses in the first week of a Grand Slam, it?s not that easy.?
World number four Novak Djokovic, who has defeated the Swiss in both of their meetings in 2009 but has a 4-7 overall record, believes Federer is ?unique?.
?It?s amazing just to see a person who has been so successful. I think after five years of dominance, it?s amazing to see him motivated to play well and win more Grand Slams,? said the Serbian.
?I think this is really something unique with him.?
Spain?s seventh seed Fernando Verdasco, his country?s main hope of lifting the Wimbledon title in the absence of injured compatriot, and defending champion, Rafael Nadal, says Federer has the complete game.
?He?s so complete about everything, serve, forehand, volley, touch, slice, and all the Grand Slam titles that he has already,? said Verdasco.
?He is level with Sampras on 14, but has also won all four Grand Slams.?
C'MON!

zoey..just read it.....lovely chick...just lovely..... have taken an extract from it as the poems are just too beautiful NOT to post...thanks again.....
Like the 19th century French poet, Charles Baudelaire, if you are inclined to seek and find ?beauty? and ?the eternal? in the transient and the fleeting, sitting courtside during a Federer match is highly recommended.
Simply beautiful
World domination is a nasty business, especially in individual sports ? it is all blood and sweat and brutality. You?d know all about it if you had been watching tennis in the time of Jimmy Connors. But Federer makes it look beautiful.
He kills opponents without so much as a cut or a bruise. They don?t even realise that they are dying. Then there are gone. Bring on the next.
?Defeat has a dignity which noisy victory does not deserve,? wrote the Argentine poet Jose Luis Borges. The likes of Soderling might tend to agree.
In losing to Federer, you might feel you are in a trace. Hours later, opponents might be asking themselves: did that really happen?
Yes, it did happen to Soderling on Monday. It probably will happen again on Wednesday and Friday and then on Sunday, too, to three more men. Goodbye Pete.
Well, if it was only that easy! But then, Federer does make it look as simple as that. If we tend to get ahead of ourselves and turn a capricious, unpredictable business into something that is utterly predictable, then the mistake is his. Not ours.
?He is on cruise control,? John McEnroe, perhaps for the first time holding an umbrella to shield himself from the hot sun on the centre court at Wimbledon, had said of Federer before the match.
McEnroe, of course, was talking about Federer?s progress to the fourth round but it was very much true of today?s match too. The Swiss master was a model of serenity.
?It was a dangerous match. I am happy to be through,? said Federer.

Don't underestimate Karlovic. If it gets into a tie break situation and he fires aces and untouchables, he could very well take the set. Federer will need to be sharp during crucial points because it's likely to be few and far in betweens. And against a player with like Karlovic, you get very little rhythm.
cable , 7/1/09 2:58 AM
I agree, I would never underestimate Dr. Ivo. I love him, but can't watch him for extended periods of time, because the most interesting games are his opponents, these days. Eh.....still I like Fed more and I hope that Ivo doesn't ace him and falls a bit to pressure. I can only take so much Ivo over two weeks, this literally is to long to watch a man make the same shot. I do admit I love to watch him volley though, he is really good considering his height is a bit of a handicap sometimes.
I'm rooting for Fed in four, since that was my guess when I say Ivo's form, which is super.

malteser1 as much as I love yor enthusiasm it must be said that your obsession with Fed is unhealthy. You posts on here are not only super regular but intense and defensive. You have attached Fed to your ego and without question get stressed and worked up the minute someone voices an opinion different to yours because you feel like your identity and beliefs are under threat and you want to be right.
For your health and happiness let go a little of your attachment and remember that Federer is just a man. Enjoy him and his matches.

by all means isabeau....come on here and share your ideas...but when you leave it....what? 6/7 weeks? then come on and criticise? what does it say about YOUR state of mind......
peace isabeau...all's gravy....thanks for your concern.....xx

isabeau....as i was on my way to work when i read your post...i thought i would finish it off....hope you don't mind.....you mention the word ego.....?
The feeling of a separate "I", which we call ego-consciousness, is directly related to the strength of ignorance, greed, and hatred. The deepest meaning of ignorance is the believing in, identifying with and clinging to the ego, which is nothing but an illusive mental phenomenon. But because of this strong clinging to ego-consciousness, attachment/desire, anger/hatred arise and repeatedly gain strength.
The ego needs activity in order to exist. Like and dislike, attachment, aversion, greed and hatred are the main overt activities of the ego. The more desire and aversion we have the more alive we feel, the more real and concrete the ego seems. In reality, the ego depends on desire, its life-blood is desire. The ego and desire are like the two sides of a coin ? one cannot exist without the other. The ego is projected desire, and desire is projected ego. It is like pedalling a bicycle: if we go on pedalling, the bicycle goes on moving; but if we stop pedalling the bicycle will start slowing down and eventually collapse. The more we go on generating desire the ego seems very real. When desiring stops the ego then appears as an illusion.
I guess we all have an alter ego isabeau...but alas..you do not know me...i'd like to think (and have been told...of course..i would say that..wouldn't I)....that I don't have an ego in terms of wanting this or that...i am very content actually......i think perhaps you mix up ego with admiration......
I don't 'desire' federer.....he is a married man.....do i admire him? Oh yes..of course....along with millions of other fans around the world....many on this forum as well....i have travelled in my short life.....and without sounding too altruistic.....worked as a volunteer in China, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam....and it changed my life in terms of the word 'want/desire'.....i do not put great store by money...and those types of riches...but i do enjoy friends whom i love and care for.....family....you know....those sorts of values.....as for federer 'in my life'....i just love reading articles about him....i
n terms of his own voluntary work/his charity projects.....his incredible tennis....he is to be admired.....that is very different to ego my friend...as for getting 'stressed and worked up'....i don't really....i completely understand it may come across that way on a screen....but when i write mosts of my posts...i am actually having quite a laugh when i type away.....i try to keep calm most of the time...(doesn't always work.....have a grain of a greek temper inherited from dad....which i try to control...for the most part...i do except when i feel attacked...)...but i am not one to attack first....someone has to do/say something first before i react......
anyway...whether or not you believe this is of no consequence to me...so i wish you a great day isabeau...that's a beautiful name by the way...is your spirit a beautiful one too?

Mr Malteser1 , please do Federer ,the current Fed fans and fans in the wing a favour by sparing us this constant barrage. Seriously people will just hate Federer because some of his fans have become some sort of net hooligans. Is that the attitude you want people to develop towards Federer.
Tone it down a bit mate, from another Fed fan.

in Fed i trust ... LOVE it fedexfan! You always come up with the neatest statements! LOL Malt I found the analysis about the ego quite interesting, never heard it said like that before... Our FED is going to come out today on that court and KICK some ASS! Not that Ivo Karlovic is an ass, but he will get his ASS kicked anyway! LOL It will be "cool"/"enjoyable" to watch. I know that Karlovic can serve amazingly strong, and I don't expect it will be too easy for our FED, but I predict the FED will take the match, and continue his journey at Wimbledon 2009 on court... One game at a time... Go FED go! Go Roger go! Aller Roger! Aller! :) C'MON ROGER! C'MON! Right the wrongs... FEDfans Unite! CHEERS!!!
sky , 7/1/09 12:04 PM
Well Mr Malteser ,you make me scroll too much ..not just me , so many others. it just shows u care more about ranting than risking people hating federer. case proven , bye
nirv02 , 7/1/09 12:52 PM

sky ....hehe ....i try ... Fed inspires me ...what can i say :) ....whenever i think of how people wrote him off last year...press was saying he is done ...and all that crap ....and to think that this guy just hung in there and now he is back on top ...won the french ..tied pete ...career slam ...shut oh so many up ....now called GOAT ...maybe ...maybe win #15 .....i just marvel at the guy ....
when people was stomping on him ...he said he is positive and confident he can do better ....when people are expecting him to win he just keeps positive and confident .... its amazing ...its inspiring ..
Anyways ...FedExpress starts choo chooing soon .....all aboard Federites !!!

tomnjerry2 , 7/1/09 4:10 PM
So much for Karlovic's "unreturnable" and "unbreakable" serve.
That was almost a clinical performance from Fed, except for the few lapses in concentration, most notably when he let Karlovic force deuce in the 3rd set. Only a couple of breaks were needed and Fed got them. :)
Great match, glad he's through. Should be a tough semi for Fed though, both Haas and Nole can be threatening...Haas has this tendency to force Roger to 5-setters for some weird reason.
jyannis , 7/1/09 4:10 PM
I must say I was impressed with the way Federer played today. Can't fault it at all.
carrie , 7/1/09 4:14 PM
What can I say more? Seriously malt, we dont need to post much here do we? If everyone just watch Fed plays, we all know he's the best. And also 21 SF in a row..
21 SF IN A ROW!!! How insane is that? When will it end? Wahahhaa....
FED IS THE BEST, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!
torres9 , 7/1/09 4:22 PM
Federites !!!
It is said that his serve has been impossible to break ...and our man fed steps on to court and breaks his serve almost immediately !! ..amazing ...just amazing ..... Fed is in another league ...just another league....
I saw all those slice balls coming back ...so nice to watch fed use skill to beat his opponents ...what a guy ....and then he walks of court with Karlovic ....truly a wimbledon gentleman champ!
zoey ! sky ! torr m! malt ! ....FEDERITES.....21 straight semi final ... how does he do it ?
WIMBY09 ...where we right the wrong

Nole lost so it's Haas v Fed. Dangerous, dangerous, I still remember that FO heart attack in the fourth round! Should be explosive and interesting match on Friday...two "veterans" battling it out!
Now, just wanting for Ferrero to by some hook or crook, beat Murray, and make the final four Hewitt, Ferrero, Fed and Haas...return of the tennis veteran titans!!
And...HEWITT v FED for the final YEAH....is my dream going to come true is it is it is it?!?!?!
jyannis , 7/1/09 5:02 PM
torres...unreal...just unreal statistics for fed to make his 21st semi final appearance at a slam....how EVER is that gonna be surpassed? It just shows time and time again that this guy is beyond belief...beyond skill...beyond analysis...beyond understanding.....
so much doom and gloom from the rafa fans....saying how dangerous Dr. Ivo is...we know that...but we just wanna believe and keep going forward 'cos that is the ONLY way to be......
Am gonna check out his interview...and am just so happy....so full of sunshine right now.....so pleased that all the fedfans here are sticking together like glue!
carrie..whilst it 'appears' nice of you to come on and post how impressed you were with federer'.....you wear two faces...you bitch about him and bring doom and gloom and then you 'appear' impressed with him...you are very transparent..(to me anyway)....you really couldn't care less...you've said that in the past....so i wonder what your game is right now?
zoey....sky...where are you guys? still at work? The Fed won! Yipppeeeee!
C'MON!

cheers to federer
