Both Blake and Tsonga are still fighting for a berth in Shanghai, so both have a major stake in this match.
James Blake had taken out Roger Federer in the Olympics back in August, but had a little bit easier walkover on Friday.
Meanwhile, Tsonga fought with Roddick for two hours 46 minutes and eked out a third-set tiebreaker win.
These men haven't played each other yet on the tour, and this meeting is going to be huge for both of them. A win for Blake would guarantee a Shanghai spot while Tsonga's road depends on how Nalbandian deals with Davydenko in the other semi.
In this match, Blake will come out firing, looking to hit every forehand as hard as he can, imposing his power upon the Frenchman. The problem is that Tsonga plays a similar style of game, and will be looking to do just the same.
These players are closely matched, and this match will depend on which one plays the bigger points better. If Tsonga mixes it up and keeps Blake in his back heels, he can take this one. Tsonga's serve and his crisp volleys combined with his lethal power from the back of the court should be enough to take out Blake. Very few points will decide this match and it will be close to the end. Look for Tsonga to ride the crowd to the victory into the finals.
