Novak Djokovic will look to advance while Robredo will try to continue his nice run
World #3 Novak Djokovic played a very tough match with Marin Cilic in the previous round and this match won't be any easier. Tommy Robredo plays a solid but unspectacular game built more around strategy and outsmarting the opponent as opposed to simply blasting away.
The thing about it is that Djokovic will try to play his all around big game and Robredo can provide a perfect counter. Tommy will need to play a perfect match to score the win here. He will need to return the Djokovic serve extremely well and outsmart the Serbian from the back of the court. Both of which will be very difficult.
Djokovic leads the head to head 3-1, with wins over Robredo on grass, clay, and hard. Djokovic won their matchup in Rotterdam in 2007 on hard 7-5 in the 5th. As we all know, though, Novak is a completely different player from then. Djokovic should take this match and reach the Quarters.
