Queens is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the tour. All the great grass-courters (bar Federer) have played here over the years and its got the showpiece final it so richly deserves with top seed Nadal squaring off against no 2 seed Djokovic
It's the first time the Queens final has featured the top 2 seeds since 2002 when Lleyton Hewitt dashed Tim Henman's hopes once again in 3 sets
Djokovic has been getting closer and closer to Nadal over the past 2 years except on the clay where he's yet to find an answer. Djokovic has made huge strides on the crushed brick of Europe over the past year, producing a festival of tennis in Hamburg before losing an enthralling 3 setter but the man from Mallorca still rules supreme and leads Djokovic 5-0 in the matches they've played on clay
However on other surfaces they're now tied 3-3 and on hard courts Djokovic is now considered slight favourite after big wins in the semis of Montreal (7-5, 6-3) and the semis of Indian Wells (6-3, 6-2) where he ended Nadal's hold on the trophy.
They've had just the one match on grass, probably Nadal's 2nd best surface in the semis of Wimbledon last year, with Djokovic retiring at 3-6, 6-1, 4-1 down. It's hard to read much into that as the Serb was physically gone having come through brutal marathon slugfests against Lleyton Hewitt and Marcos Baghdatis in the previous 2 days. After a set with Nadal he had nothing left
Both players have had their stumbles on the way to this final. Djokovic didn't look good in the early rounds and came from a set and a break down to beat Tipsarevic 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 on Thursday. However over the last 2 days he's been sensational crushing first Hewitt (6-2, 6-2) then Nalbandian (6-1, 6-0)
Nadal's had tricky encounters with Nishikori and Karlovic who both came out swinging freely but he edged past both and then was in fine form against Roddick yesterday. There's more to come from him aswell, Roddick didn't really push him and if Djokovic comes out firing this afternoon we could be seeing a great final
Prediction: Nadal in 3

I enjoyed the match. I was pulling for Novak Djokovic. I find him a better player than Nadal. I don't appreciated Nadal antics. Pulling his pants, it is like his pants are in his ass crack. And making faces. He needs to be more professional on the court.

What I find annoying sometime are the commentators. At Roland Garros, Martina was talking too much. Telling what the players are doing, for example, this onei s not concentrating 100% etc., it is too much. I find that the commentators should talk less and let the viewers decide. Thank you

Nadal is no god. Nadal is just a good player with a bad attitude. I hope I will mature with the years.

to "Genevieve1950 ": You sound like you have blinders on. Nadal is an excellent tennis player. Djoke is an excellent tennis player. Face it, you just don't like competition for your favorite player. But that doesn't mean you have to bad-mouth other players. Be positive, speak about your favorite player's accomplishments, rather than showing you bias by bad-mouthing.

nadal has won his first grass court title.Novak made a statement sometime ago that federer and nadal dont play good tennis as the used to play years back, well he is learning the hard way.Nadal has improve his game a whole lot. The whole world knows how humble nadals is, he let his tennnis speak for him. i am so happy that he to beat novak to win the title on sunday.

Genevieve1950-you may not like rafa but for god's sake, just try to be objective.i also don't like djokovic but i cannot deny novak's being an incredible player.if you think novak is a very good player, then you must also admit that rafa is very good because he's continuing to make some history at the age of 22.

Genevieve are you for real? Nadal's antics? Who's the one who keeps throwing the racket on the ground like a spoil brat? And who's the one who mimics other players including female players for a bit of a laugh? Just because you prefer Novak doesn't mean that you have to defame Nadal (or any other player, for that matter). Novak is an excellent player with great potential. However, one has to admit that he lacks humility and grace and that has nothing to do with Nadal!

It's often a matter of opinion who behaves badly on court and who's being competitive and agreesive, that's why people disagree. Some fans of a player will see their favourite as being competitive and others will see it as bad attitude. Genevieve, be mature and see the player's quality for what it is (whether you like them or not) and not how you prefer to judge their bahaviour because he/she is beating your favourite player. Otherwise, go watch another sport if you can't take the heat! It's clear you don't appreciate good quality players producing good quality tennis if all you want is your favourtie to win all the time. Novak copped bad press at the Oz open for his antics on court but I wouldn't say he's got a bad attitude because the intensity on court for a singles match player can be overwhelming, and not many will appreciate or understand that.

Genevieve-i thought the only problem you have in the world of tennis is Nadal. u also have problems with the commentators too? whao.........
