    (8) Juan Martin Del Potro def. Grega Zemlja 7-5, 7-6(3), 6-0

Eighth seed Juan Martin Del Potro is through to the fourth round by virtue of his straight-sets ousting of Slovenia's Grega Zemlja. The 24-year-old Argentine tallied 10 aces and 29 winners through 115 minutes of play.

"I think he served really well in the second set," Del Potro assessed. "He made like 20 first serves in a row, and I only won a point during the tie-break.

He is slated to take on 23rd seed Andreas Seppi in the next round.

    (23) Andreas Seppi def. (12) Kei Nishikori 3-6, 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-4

Twenty-third seed Andreas Seppi advanced to the round of 16 after surviving a five-set match with 12th seed Kei Nishikori. The Italian converted six of 12 break points in three hours and 4 minutes of competition.

”It was a really close match,” Nishikori explained. “He raised his level in the fourth and fifth sets. He didn't give me many unforced errors (and he) served well, so I didn't have much chance to break him.”

Del Potro over Seppi in 4

ed251137 , 6/30/13 8:52 PM

Do we know if Delpo is okay? I heard that he hurt his ankle and knee. That was a really tough match against Zemlja. I wouldn't have thought it would be that tough for Delpo.

I would like to see Delpo get the win over Seppi. I just hope he's okay.

I mentioned before Wimby got under way how it has always been the most unpredictable of the four Majors but this year tops the lot. Did you know the odds on Starky beating Federer were 250:1?

I didn't know Delpo picked up an injury. There is obviously a jinx on the seeded players :-(

Who will be next I wonder.

I'd like an update on DelPo's health (ankle & knee) as well. Apparently he took a nasty tumble -- boy just doesn't seem to be able to stay unhurt.
