Ferrer reaches third round World No. 4 David Ferrer is through to the round of 32 after holding off fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets. The veteran moves on to face 26th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov in the next round.

Fourth seed David Ferrer advanced to the third round with a four-sets ousting of compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut. The 31-year-old veteran struck 43 winners en route to a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(4), 7-5 victory.

"I am improving my game on grass courts," Ferrer assessed. "I am trying to serve wide a lot of times and go to the net to finish points. Today, I play better than the first round. Roberto played a very good match. He was very tough."

Ferrer completed the second-round match with 6 aces and five of 13 break points converted.

He is slated to take on 26th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov for a place in the round of 16.
