Simon reaches Eastbourne final Second seed Gilles Simon is through to the championship final at the AEGON International, having ousted former title winner Andreas Seppi. The Frenchman moves on to face Spain's Feliciano Lopez on Saturday.

Second seed Gilles Simon made the final match of the tournament with a straight-sets victory over 7th seed Andreas Seppi. The 28-year-old Frenchman converted six of 10 break points en route to a 6-4, 6-3 success.

"It's always strange situation, but at the end of the day I just have to focus on the first one," Simon explained. "I think it's going to be a tough match against (finals opponent Feliciano Lopez). He's a very good grass court player and I think he played a great tournament until now. So I just hope I would play the same kind of tennis as today."

Simon completed the 85-minute semifinal with 24 of 36 first-service points captured.

He is through to take on Spain's Feliciano Lopez for the championship title. Lopez defeated Croatia's Ivan Dodig in the semifinal, 7-6(1), 6-1.
