Raonic grass woes continue in Eastbourne Top seed and wildcard entrant Milos Raonic was ousted in his first match at the AEGON International, with Ivan Dodig advancing.

Ivan Dodig def. Milos Raonic (1) 6-2, 7-6(7)

It was another dismal day on grass courts for Milos Raonic. The top seed was not only defeated in straight sets at the hands of much lower ranked (54) Ivan Dodig, but he was also out-aced.

Raonic was ousted in his first match in Halle also and was granted a late wildcard into Eastbourne so he could get some matches on grass before the Championships at WImbledon start in less than a week's time.

Dodig's win sends him into the quarterfinals, where he will take on Fabio Fognini.

Feliciano Lopez def. Juan Monaco (4) 6-4, 6-4

The seeds on the top half of the draw in Eastbourne did not fare well on Wednesday. Not only was Milos Raonic ousted, but No. 4 seed Juan Monaco was also defeated at the hands of Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.

Lopez didn't serve as well as he had in his first round match, but his 6 aces were more than enough to dispatch Monaco, who is largely a clay-court specialist.

Lopez was broken once in the second set, but he secured a pair of service breaks of Monaco's serve to seal up the match in straights.

Lopez will battle countryman Fernando Verdasco in the quarters.
