Canada's Milos Raonic will look to get some grass match play in Eastbourne after suffering a first round loss in Halle last week.
Milos Raonic (1) vs. Ivan Dodig
World No. 15 didn't have a good start to the 2013 grass court season. Milos Raonic lost in the first round in Halle to Gael Monfils with an uninspired performance. The Canadian's game should work well on grass, with his big serve, but his serve has been off recently.
This could be a good opportunity for world No. 45 Ivan Dodig. The Croat had a decent win over Denis Istomin in the first round and Raonic will come into the match cold after a first round bye.
Prediction - If Raonic finds his serve he should advance.
Juan Monaco (4) vs. Feliciano Lopez
Pulling Argentine Juan Monaco as his seed might be a stroke of good fortune for Feliciano Lopez. Monaco is a clay courter, who builds his ranking each year on the red dirt.
Lopez, though Spaniard, is not a typical clay-courter. He served up 16 aces in his first round match and his game is well-suited for grass courts.
This could be the first upset of the tournament, though a Lopez win would not be unexpected.
Prediction - Lopez in 3.
