    6/2/13 2:11 AM | Cheryl Murray
Gasquet and Wawrinka into French Open round of 16 Richard Gasquet secured another easy win to advance in Paris, while Wawrinka had to fight harder.

    Richard Gasquet (7) def. Nikolay Davydenko 6-4, 6-4, 6-3

France's Richard Gasquet was again excellent in the first week of Roland Garros, this time securing a straight-set win over Russian veteran Nikolay Davydenko.

The Frenchman has been cutting his way through the draw, this time securing a spot in the fourth round opposite Stanislas Wawrinka which has the potential to be a real blockbuster.

Davdyenko did little to hurt Gasquet in this third round encounter. The Russian was able to secure a single break of serve, but he gave up 5 to Gasquet, who took firm control of each set during the routine win.

    Stanislas Wawrinka (9) def. Jerzy Janowicz 6-3, 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-3

Poland's Jerzy Janowicz put up a fight against Stanislas Wawrinka, but in the end, the Swiss man, who has had a spectacular clay season, was the better player.

Wawrinka gave up just one break of serve for the match, which came in the second set. Janowicz played a good tiebreaker to level the match at a set a piece, but his game started to fray in the third and fourth sets, while the Swiss man remained as solid as he'd been all match.
