Djokovic wishing Murray luck in his fight for fitness While Novak Djokovic feels that his ankle injury from last month is finally over, the hard work is just beginning for injured rival Andy Murray.

Rome top seed Djokovic revealed that he has played without pain for a week now during training and considers his ankle problem now over. "I've been pain-free for a week, but I'm still very cautious in my warm-up and recovery. I want to do the best for it as possible. I don't think it will bother me any more and I don't think about it when I'm on the court."

Djokovic expressed his hopes that Murray would be able to somehow play the French Open despite the back pain which forced him to quit his opening matching Rome and head to London for medical consultations.

Murray said he would likely be unable to play the clay court major, which starts May 27 but is taking a wait-and-see attitude. "He's one of the top players, it is a loss for any tournament for him to be missing. I don't know the level of his injury, he is the best one to know how he feels," said Djokovic.

"I don’t know the nature or the level of the injury and it’s a pity but he has some time to recover and well see in the next few days what happens. But perhaps he will have time to recover, we will know more in the next few days.

"There is the most value in the Grand Slams, that's where you want to make your mark and play your best."

Oh, what a positively uninteresting article! Nothing is really written there! I guess you can take one sentence from an interview and rewrite it in several different ways.

As for Andy, I wish him a speedy recovery. If missing Paris is a ticket to performing the best at Wimbledon, so be it! I have just watched Andy and Nole in Rome 2011. semis again - Andy played brilliant tennis on clay. I hope he can come back to that form and then surpass it.

Is playing football the best preparation for Roland Garros, I wonder?
