Nadal routs Andujar for Madrid final spot Hometown hero Rafael Nadal earned himself a slot in Sunday's final with his decisive victory over Pablo Andujar in the semifinals.

It was smooth sailing for Rafael Nadal on Saturday, at home in Madrid. The Spanish world No. 5 was in fine form against wildcard Pablo Andujar, earning a 6-0, 6-4 win.

Andujar, currently ranked No. 114 in the world, was just about absent in the first set, with the nerves of his first Masters series semifinal seeming to keep him out-of-sorts. Nadal was smart and opportunistic enough to take advantage with a speedy bagel set.

Andujar calmed down some in the second. He kept pace with the King of Clay until the very last moments of the set, even making a few inroads on the Nadal serve, something that was hard to come by in the first set.

But it was not to be for Andujar. The wildcard was pressed to break point and literally gifted the break to Nadal with a double-fault before Nadal served out the match without incident.

The win sets up a meeting in Sunday's final against Swiss No. 2 Stanislas Wawrinka.
