Almagro, Bellucci win around afternoon storms in Barcelona Nicolas Almagro and Thomaz Bellucci managed to squeeze in matches on a wet day at the Barcelona Open.

    Nicolas Almagro (4) def. Marcel Granollers (15) 6-3, 6-4

Nicolas Almagro got off to a slow start in this third round match. No. 15 seed Marcel Granollers drew first blood as Almagro dropped his first service game.

But it didn't take long for Almagro to find his rhythm. He earned the break back and then rolled through the first set to take the lead.

Granollers had a trio of break point chances in the second set, but Almagro, who was more comfortable in the match, held him off. The No. 4 seed secured the only break of the second set to take the match.

    Thomaz Bellucci (16) def. Dmitry Tursunov (Q) 4-6, 6-1, 6-3

Russia's Dmitry Tursunov almost ruined his chance to take the first set. The Russian was up 3-0 with points to take a 4-0 lead, but Bellucci came back to take the next four games. But the Brazilian had another lapse at 4-5 to give the Russian the set lead.

Tursunov had more chances in the beginning of the second set, but he couldn't convert and the better clay-courter of the two rolled to the three-set win.
