Kamke avenges Miami loss to Melzer Tobias Kamke, who lost to Jurgen Melzer last month, rolls over the Austrian in straight sets on Tuesday in Casablanca. Kamke will face Tommy Robredo for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Tobias Kamke ousted fifth-seeded Jurgen Melzer 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the Grand Prix Hassan II on Tuesday afternoon. Kamke broke serve four times to set up a meeting with Tommy Robredo after one hour and 14 minutes.

Melzer, who beat Kamke in a recent three-setter on his way to the Miami quarterfinals, earned a scalp of his opponent's serve in the opening game of this one. That, however, proved to be the 37th-ranked Austrian's only highlight of the match. Kamke broke back immediately then seized another break for 5-3 before serving out the first set.

The second frame of play was even more routine. One break would have been enough for Kamke because he did not face a single break point in his last four service games. For good measure, though, the unseeded German broke Melzer at 5-3 to finish off the proceedings in style.

Kamke wrapped up his effort with no aces and four double-faults, but he saved five of six break points in the opening set. Melzer recorded three aces and three doubles while serving at a horrendous 42 percent.
