    Tsonga levels tie for France World No. 8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga kept France's hope of a semifinal berth alive, having ousted World No. 19 Juan Monaco in straight sets. A live fifth rubber is set to feature compatriot Gilles Simon against Carlos Berlocq.

    World No. 8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga came through in a must-win situation for France early Sunday. The 28-year-old leveled the tie at 2-2 with a comprehensive defeat of Argentina's Juan Monaco, 6-3, 6-3, 6-0.

    Tsonga, who completed the match without losing serve, converted six of 7 break points in an hour and 42 minutes. The World No. 8 collected five aces an 34 winners on the day.

    France had trailed 1-2 after veterans Michael Llodra and Julien Bennteau lost the doubles rubber to Horacio Zeballos and former World No. 3 David Nalbandian.

    The deciding live fifth rubber is scheduled to be contested by former World No. 6 Gilles Simon and Carlos Berlocq.
