With Andy Murray feeling in his element in his second home of Miami, the Scot is now concentrating on trying to knock Roger Federer from the No. 2 position behind Novak Djokovic in the ATP rankings.
But it will be quite a task for the Scot, who will need to win the Miami Masters title next weekend in order to make a move upwards.
Murray, who trains during the December close season in steamy south Florida, has gotten himself well-accustomed to the humid conditions which characterise the tournament. But actually making a move on Federer is not at the top of the Murray to-do list.
"It's not something I'm thinking about going into my first match against Bernard Tomic," he the BBC. "Getting to No. 2 is not a goal of mine. I'd rather focus on winning events than counting ranking points.
"The one thing it does help with is with your seeding for the bigger events, and that's how it would be of benefit to me."
The Miami field might be ripe for the picking if Murray can keep on winning, Both Federer (pre-planned training) and Rafael Nadal (resting his knees after winning Indian Wells) are missing form the field, And Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro has lost with a wrist injury. Murray's next opponent will be fast-rising Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, whom the Scot beat in the Brisbane final in January.
The Scot credits his five years of work in Miami for helping his career. "I spend more time here than I did a few years ago, probably about three-and-a-half months of the year," said the local property owner.
"Miami's a very laid-back city. You can do whatever you want here.
"They have nice beaches, on South Beach there are lots of shops, a good party life, and there are very good restaurants all over the city. There are good players to practise and train with, and they have great facilities here."
